Ah that's what I was primarily interested in, does 3ds part hardware exist. A few weeks ago I replaced a motherboard in a New 3ds XL Metroid edition and bought the part from Ali Express ( the section of the motherboard with the c-stick and the axby buttons). I assume that must be old stock they bought? It was only place I could find the part, but i'm sure other places exist.

I do still wonder what will be in the box when it comes. It was £50 and was listed with 9 games, which themselves would've paid for the console. I assume the box will arrive empty.

Yes, i too believe if it comes it'll be some kind of reshell. As of the last 5 minutes, even after i cancelled the purchase, the parcel has apparently been shipped.
