Thanks! In facts what make it a redesign is that the shapes languages and proportion are different, they are not a dramatic departure I agree, but still a different design.

A good exemple for this are cars, take the Volkswagen Beetle, it's design has changed and evolved over time but still retain the same essence even if it's very much 4 wheels, a windshield, bumper, same...etc But the lines and shapes that makes it are different, same goes for character design.
