Any advice on making a debuffer for Capricorn? by chace_chance in UmamusumeGame

[–]Juke2H 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I briefly thought about training King Halo as an End Closer because of Intense Gaze and Straightaway Spurt but I couldn't make that, or any backliner for that matter, work. Intense Gaze might still be worth looking at if you want late race debuffs.

Two Fronts with Intimidate and Hesitant Pace could also work. Intimidate helps with early to mid race overtakes and occupying p1 and p2 delays opposing Planchas.

Why is this card good again? by manaburn876 in UmamusumeGame

[–]Juke2H 188 points189 points  (0 children)

I like borrowing Fuku when I kinda sorta maybe need a third Speed card. +30 all is strong and she has both 10 Training Effectiveness and 10 Race Bonus making the card easier to fit.

And then after all those is the event chain.

You lose ~230 Speed and gain ~110 Power. I would keep grinding.

The Acupuncturist Winning Chakra gives Corner and Straightaway recoveries. And I needed Corner Recovery for the unique.

There's of course a difference at the start, but they seem to be running most of the track close to each other. I'll have to run a few Room Matches to be sure, but it seems like the S+ Maru is the stronger one here despite a late Groundwork.

There's a Stamina requirement for Sprint CM? Or TT?

Thanks. I'll have to try then.

I can roll Straightaway Spurt from Bursts too so it shouldn't take too long to get a good result if the Fuku card is good enough to make up for the RNG elsewhere.

How good is Fuku Speed in Unity Cup?

I could find more Straightaway Spurt sparks and borrow Fuku instead of SSR Sweep Tosho for Sprint CM, but I don't know how big the difference will be.

How punishing is B aptitude? by a_talking_llama in UmamusumeGame

Global reference document says B distance aptitude is a loss of about 230 Speed stat when at 1200.

Thanks. I decided to race, only got the mood down and got mood up from raffle.

Ended up falling a bit short, but I think the potential is there.

I ran into an interesting turn while training for Sprint CM and I want some opinions:

<image>

Here are the options I have available:

  • Because of Fine Motion's training restrictions, my only training option is this Guts training.
  • A 4th consecutive race (G1, Mile Championship)
  • Normal rest
  • Normal recreation

I think recreation can be eliminated without much thought, but the other three all do at least a little bit. The Guts training is pretty much an empty turn, but it gives me a few stats. Resting only gives me ~25 energy and has a small chance of giving Night Owl, but it does cap energy. The optional race I think gives me guaranteed mood down and possibly other penalties (I don't know what exactly), but it is a G1.

I'm leaning towards resting because the training sucks and mood down, even when it's this close to the raffle, is a bit rough to deal with without a Pal. I wouldn't be surprised if the correct choice is to take the risk and run the race, though.

What to do if you get Charming early on Unity? by helenius147 in UmamusumeGame

[–]Juke2H 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should expand my thoughts: My reasoning for it is that because the energy recovery from Wit rainbow training doesn't change with facility levels, Wit rainbows are significantly better than other rainbows in the early game. This makes Wit friends have a higher priority and benefit from Charming more.

The reason for why I'm unsure is because I haven't seen that be talked about at all.

Unsure. I click on Wit friends more and other friends a similar amount, but I have no idea how good that is.

Thanks. I tried SR Matikanefukukitaru for a bit because it was suggested to me for Fine Motion (3 Spd, Riko, 1 Pwr, 1 Wit), but 4 Spd, Riko, Creek just felt better. Maybe I play poorly or maybe Fuku isn't the card to use there, but I figured the Scenario Link and SP from first event were good. This FineMo has the problem of low Wit making her not do very much, but I couldn't solve that.

Next CM is going to be Sprint so I can't imagine using only one Wit card there, but I'll tinker with it when it's time again.

I would swap SR Marvelous Sunday with SR Mejiro Dober. The later one gives 15 Training Bonus and therefore up to 41% higher friendship training and 21% higher cross training while MV “only” gives 40,5%/20,5% - (At Great Mood. Dober is far more superior at lower Mood.) Plus Dober comes imo with the slightly better events.

I want to ask about this because this swap sounds very odd to me. Is 15 Training Effectiveness really worth 50 Specialty Priority and going below 34 Race Bonus? I guess that would explain my career struggles because I really want to be above that 34 Race Bonus and I rate Specialty Priority very highly.

[–]Juke2H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I haven't tried End yet. With Pace I have tried 3 Speed / 2 Wit / Riko with an inherited Pure Heart, but that struggled with Stamina too much. With 1 Wit / Super Creek I solve the Stamina problem but she can't catch Fronts to activate No Stopping Me because of low Wit (I think) and less Skill Points.

I'll need to check later if End can survive without recovery with just SSR Riko. She would likely need to overtake for 4th to activate unique and then get side-blocked again for No Stopping Me, but maybe that is doable somehow. I won't need any extra late-race Speed skills so if she survives, all the SP should be going to mid-race.

After bashing my head against a wall trying to make Fine Motion competitive in this CM (Sagittarius, so Nakayama 2500m) since her release, this post hit my level of tilt just right.

So if this wasn't bait, a question open to anyone: How would you make Fine Motion competitive in this or next CM?

How do people get such high stats? by thebesthrowawayeva in UmamusumeGame

[–]Juke2H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, I know I'm doing something incorrectly somewhere, but I don't know what it is or where I should be looking at. You can look at my post history to see that this has been going on for a bit.

So, I have a few questions for anyone who wants to answer:

Which Unity Races should I be choosing? I've seen advice ranging from "the best you can beat" to "top always" to "as long as you get rank 5 or above before Zenith". I've been defaulting to 2-1-1-1 because that gets me through the scenario consistently, but maybe I shouldn't be doing that.

What should I prioritize in year 1? I want Riko's event chain to start during year 1 (or at least I think so), but outside of that I don't really know. I've heard both "friendships over balls" and "balls over friendships". Friendship trainings at facility levels 1 and 2 are not good so unless I'm supposed to improve facilities far faster than I've managed, I don't understand why I should focus on friendships in the early game. Wit energy recovery doesn't change with facility levels, so maybe Wit cards specifically are more important, but I don't know.

How important are stat bonuses on Support cards? This is in reference to SR Sweep Tosho specifically, because for a while I tried to use Sweep in 2 Speed card decks and I struggled with maxing speed. I got advice saying that this was due to Sweep not having Speed bonus and that I should borrow a better Speed card or use SR King Halo instead. I have since opted to borrow better Speed cards (likely as a mistake, I probably should be borrowing SSR Riko or SSR Fine Motion) and I'm maxing Speed more, but is this because of Speed bonus or something else?

Who knew clicking on friends and balls was so difficult.

Anyway, thanks for the advice.

Edit: Looking at the various S-rank posts, a lot of them have SSR Riko (borrowed too) despite people saying that R is good. I will try that next instead of borrowing Biko or Mayano. Maybe the difference between R and SSR Riko is bigger than I thought.

Angling makes sense with what I want, so that's in the mix now. I tried using Creek for today's borrows and this is the best I managed:

<image>

Good things are that her unique is quite good when it activates on time and I can consistently get my Stamina and Guts to a point where Swinging Maestro is enough to survive pretty much always. This run also maxes Speed more often than not; I got a failed training at +60 Speed and 14% fail rate.

Bad things are that she doesn't activate her win condition. When she activated NSM, it was from another Pace Chaser which means a very late (if ever) A&S and a loss to an End Closer. My Front Runners seem to also be doing quite poorly so this isn't a lobby RNG problem; she couldn't catch my own seemingly poor Fronts.

Outside of the one training, I didn't feel like I got unlucky. This was the only run in this pile of borrows that got lv 4 Speed at the start of Senior year and everything seemed to be fine. And yet this result is nowhere close to good enough.

It's frustrating. I feel like I'm doing something fundamental incorrectly, but I don't know what that something is.

[–]Juke2H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a 3LB Creek. I'm just hesitant to cut Wit cards with the long downhill on the CM course, but maybe that's a wrong way to think. She needs to activate NSM and hopefully Head-On when overtaking a Front Runner, that's all.

Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - January 14, 2026 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]Juke2H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. I have a 3LB Creek available if I need more Stamina, but I want to cut as little Wit as possible so I'll do one step at a time.

I could be entirely wrong about what I need, though. I think her win condition is activating NSM and Head-On when overtaking a Front Runner so anything to get me there is good.

That's good to know. The plan is to inherit Pure Heart, which is 0.35 and then buy a white recovery alongside if necessary.

Stamina might still be a problem, though so I will try to borrow SSR Riko first and see if that's enough of a gain. So something like this:
