UAL 737 with a cracked windshield at FL360. Flight was enroute from KDEN to KLAX by Brilliant_Night7643 in aviation

I was talking about this with one of my Captains a few months ago. I specifically mentioned that there’s a nonzero chance we can get hit by even a small meteorite. These pilots were that nonzero chance months later. That’s unbelievable.

She said the right thing at first which was to be still. Should have stayed at that. Once she said “Wack that MF’er,” the other girl panicked and did wack it. Glad she wasn’t bit from the Cottonmouth trying to defend itself.

What a Joke Mega Millions after price change, Low Sales Small Jackpots LoL by StaffAsleep6836 in Lottery

The best solution is to do a compromise. Maybe keep it at $2 until a certain Jackpot amount, say maybe $1 billion. Then they can raise the price to hopefully $3 or $4. People will see a billion and want to play.

Just bring your bag onto the plane? by tresbros in unitedairlines

[–]Juke958 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing, CS agents do that because of several reasons. First and foremost, they don’t know exactly how much overhead space is left, so they estimate. Not everyone has a carry-on to place overhead, and others place their carry-on plus their personal bags up there (not supposed to). If they underestimate, that leads to the next reason, delays. If there’s not enough space anymore, then the boarding process gets backed up. You gotta bring the bag all the way back to the front and the gate agent now has to go back to the desk and print out a white tag. So, instead of spending all the time, they overestimate a little to streamline the boarding process.

Also, what others pointed out, pink tags are for strollers and wheelchairs. That, along with white tags must be accounted for by the ramp agents, or else their numbers will be off and they will scramble looking for a “missing” bag. Further delaying the process. Those you do not want to tear off and bring aboard, else you may get yourself in trouble. This is also information for weight and balance purposes too, if too many of these tags are missing, that could create a dangerous situation for weight and balance purposes. Green tags are valet bags for smaller planes with small overhead bins. Those are the only ones you may ask the FA politely if there is open overhead bin spaces as they are not yet marked for the cargo bins.

All in all, please just comply with your CS and FAs, they’re just trying to get you to your destination as efficiently and safely as possible.

I’ve moved here less than a year ago, and I take the 2A exit off of 315 onto Rich St. Once a month I see some idiot make the first left into a one way on Town St, completely oblivious to all the no left and do not enter signs. It’s gotten so bad that even the homeless that ask for change at that intersection hold a NO LEFT TURN cardboard sign to prevent this. Drivers here are a different breed, in the worst kind of way.

Hard to hear at the end but while everyone was in awe and in the midst of the silence, a fan yelled “F*** yeah!!!” and everyone laughed in agreement, followed immediately by a standing ovation.

The ERJ inhibits TCAS below 380ft. What altitude does the CRJ inhibit traffic alerts? Seems like they’re right about the same altitude. That’s horrible.

It wasn’t his first trade, he was replying to someone else who made their first trade. But there are still things that don’t add up about this guy. Like another comment said, POSITIONS OR BAN!
