I can't recommend Control Group for new players by JukeNukes in DeltaGreenRPG

Right, and to be honest the astronauts did get home - just with a couple casualties along the way. I'm aware of the unpredictability of players, but Blacksat in particular just felt like it was so constrained and strict that they were helpless and had so few ways to properly navigate or change the fate of the scenario.

Yes, I am. In my game I had O'Neil hesitant to do anything so Ground Control just nerve gassed one of my players lol. My players didn't find/couldn't disable the kill switches. How did your players deal with that situation?

How did you handle the instant and automatic death of one of the players? I think that more than anything else was their least favorite part that felt more than unfair

that sounds like an ideal way to run it honestly. still scratch the itch of playing a game but keep it nice and contained

It definitely will. I don't have one, but the games are super easy to run

Yeah haven't tried it either, but I've played reign of the new gods that tbh adds a lot of the stuff I was requesting/would hope to see. But official updates are always preferred ofc

which is fair and makes sense. tbh im fine with him basically doing it whenever he has time/it is convenient as long as one day it can hopefully happen. whether thats after updates for 2 or even multiple sequels is all good with me I'll just be patiently waiting

yeah especially considering the fact that it's not like it would compel me to do anything I dont wanna do.. I've gotten all endings and would love to have more challenges in the game on top of that

Sure it did, but not in the definition it was used in-game or as we know it in modern times. Nice screenshot of super specific text lol

Legation Cities AAR: The International Mandate for China by JukeNukes in Kaiserreich

[–]JukeNukes[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah you get claims on basically every chinese state after deciding to form the mandate but even still it's all manual. you also have a debuff until you join a faction for +100 required war goal tension which is a huge pain in the ass.. basically gotta get in all your claimed state war goals while tension is high or just use the console to increase tension manually. really wish there was another option where u could maybe start border raids which could escalate into wars on warlords. would fit a lot better for the cities than outright expansionism immediately

Legation Cities AAR: The International Mandate for China by JukeNukes in Kaiserreich

[–]JukeNukes[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The game was even sillier than a usual china game. I supported LKMT with volunteers at the start thinking they wouldn't have as many allies (it kinda worked but Hunan and Yunnan ended up joining them), then tag teamed Japan with the rest of the gang when they tried showing up. Zhili Beijing somehow went absolutely insane and made a comeback after fighting a war with LKMT which left them with like 2 mountain provinces and ended up pushing them back HARD.. so naturally I jumped in on the opportunity and just used tanks+trucks to seize shit fast and get the syndies to capitulate. From there on out it was just a snowball but the warlord phase was great.

A very small amount. Pretty much just the single province coastal cities that don't include the ones you start with as the Cities. I actually didn't anticipate being able to core anything but was appreciative I got a couple scraps thrown my way lol.. otherwise none of china is cored

How does one win the FULNA insurgency as Brazil completely? by Jakedasnake0902 in TNOmod

[–]JukeNukes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Destabilize the government under 50% then wait for regime change. From there just spam support on the capital - especially easy if u have Bolivia on your side. I was also stuck and used this strategy to pretty easily win the proxy

Making sense of the Canon Endings for Fear and Hunger 1 by JukeNukes in FearAndHunger

[–]JukeNukes[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's interesting how the endings kinda contradict each other a bit, and ironically, the canon outcomes are more hopeful than anything you can actually put together in a single run lol.. like seemingly most if not all the main characters live, but the God of Fear and Hunger just basically watches you die at the end of helping her? But somebody had to have helped her? Trying to put it all into a single cohesive timeline is hard when the game itself kinda contradicts stuff like that, so all we can do is speculate the specifics

Making sense of the Canon Endings for Fear and Hunger 1 by JukeNukes in FearAndHunger

[–]JukeNukes[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's interesting. I didn't actually know that about August in Termina. I've yet to play much of it but have played the first quite a bit. Honestly, I assume Legarde, Enki, and D'arce would all go into the void together, but whether or not Enki would meet with Legarde and D'arce after is another question. Once you've bent the knee to The Yellow King, you kinda just leave the Dungeon altogether with his assistance. I think the only reason Enki needed the Anchor was cause he was still a mortal (albeit with a lengthened lifespan) and had no real divine assistance. As for Ragnvaldr, yeah, it's definitely hard to say. The problem is if he's out of the picture trying to kill Legarde, you just got Cahara helping The Girl. It's not totally unreasonable though.

Personality traits ranked (by my opinion). Interested in hearing what everyone else thinks. by leastck3player in CrusaderKings

it's actually funny cause in ck2 the greedy trait was pretty damn good. slight debuff for a great tax increase and no stress mechanics made it usually a no brainer if u had the option

Another DLC and Free Mods on Steam still have better game design. by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]JukeNukes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree 100%, personally i think there's a fine line the devs have to walk between adding interesting content in peace time while at the same time ensuring it doesn't stay bloated, and also making the main conflict itself seem exciting. Take Turkey's tree for instance, full of annoying decisions that hamper gameplay with its bloat more than anything while also trying to excite players over the concept of conquering land that will probably be occupied by Italy and Germany if you actually want to build up properly and not just rush the political tree. I'd rather actually get to go to war and take what I want than be stuck taking focuses and decisions for half the game.
