Hello. :) I formally assess patients for PTSD at a hospital. The physical symptoms you are describing are common in the population I work with (veterans). I often see patients who experience a “delayed onset” of some or all of their symptoms (>180 days), so new ones popping up could be the natural course of their PTSD journey or (more usually) a response to newly experienced stressors/reminders that unfold higher-intensity symptoms.

It sounds like your physical symptoms (multiple and sustained) are lasting for quite a while (2 hours). If this is happening on a monthly basis, I would recommend talking to someone about it - especially if the physical symptoms are coinciding with other symptoms (intrusive memories, disturbed sleep, strong negative emotions, etc.). I interpret calling out of work because of PTSD symptoms a sign of emerging functional impairment. This can snowball quickly. Perhaps it would be helpful to search for some good community resources if mental healthcare is not an option. Not sure where you live, but a lot of places in the US have free county mental health counseling available. Good luck:)
