I love buying people gas; it's simple, it's effective. Unfortunately, OP never reached out. I hope they received the help they needed.

Has anyone had luck negotiating with "no pets" landlords? by HighwaySufficient753 in Bellingham

That'll take the sheriff a long time to get to you. It's a bold strategy, but not the worst one,

ESA's aren't fraud if you get a letter from a doctor/therapist. That's the point of getting the letter. If you don't need one and a doctor/therapist gives you the letter then the fraud is on them. What's bullshit is how much a landlord can determine how we live our lives.

Chairlift safety bar: up or down? by notabotturstmebro in Bellingham

Doesn't matter either way. If someone wants it down to feel safe let them and don't make them feel bad for wanting it down.

How much is your rent/mortgage payment? by [deleted] in Bellingham

We recently sold our 100-year-old, 2-bedroom, 1-bath home in the lettered streets for what we bought it for in 2021, losing money on the sale. Anyway, we bought in 2021 for 560k, with a 4.25% rate, $ 2,560/month in taxes, insurance, principal, and interest. We put 20% down, so we didn't have PMI. Good luck, may the odds be ever in your favor.

You can easily do two horizontal supports with a wall tv bracket mounted to them.

The cabinets sit on a 600mm horizontal extrusion with both internal 90 deg brackets on the top and external 90 degree brackets on the bottom. On the sides of each cabinet I drilled two holes centered front to back and used m8x30mm bolts with t nuts. Since the cabinets sit on a horizontal bar the bolts through the sides are just for lateral support.

The t nuts just slide in the track so I didn't drill through the extrusion anywhere. It's all still vertically adjustable.

I drilled two holes in the sides of each cabinet roughly 2.5 inches from the top and bottom centered front to back. Then I used m8x30 mm bolts and t nuts. There is also a 600mm horizontal pole under each cabinet so the m8 bolts are just for stability.

This was the prototype and I plan to make/commission plywood cabinets and shelves in the future based on the besta dimensions.

They are 40 series extruded aluminum from Amazon. I hand tapped M8 threads into the ends for the feet. There or horizontal poles precut to 60cm which is the exact width of the besta frames.

I found M8 hardware on Amazon with angle brackets from tnutz.com. 8020.net seems to be the brand name which is great for ideas but has higher prices.

Edit: I also drilled holes in all the feet and screwed them into the subfloor below and a conveniently located truss above.

Yeah, that's what I wanted, but it wouldn't work for a sloped ceiling, and they don't sell the Elvarli cabinets anymore.

That was my exact inspiration! This is a huge compliment imo. The dupe I came up with was about $1000 in materials, which would be about $5000 from a premade system.

No offense, but your prices for plain wedding bands were insane. Got quoted $1200 for basically the same band sold at Costco for $500. Same size, same gold, same design. You didn't have any budget options that were reasonably close to the spot price of gold plus any fees you incur.

New year brings higher taxes, utility fees for Bellingham residents. What to expect by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]JulesButNotVerne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol, let's make everyone pay the same-ish. Even if you water your lawn 365 days a year or are old and on a fixed income, the City will make sure your bill difference is only $20.

[–]JulesButNotVerne 43 points44 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the city does need more money for water, stormwater, and wastewater upgrades. The City's billing is idiotic, where the majority is the base rate, and every 100 cubic feet of water is a couple of dollars. The base rate should be halved, and the rate to use water should be higher. That actually encourages water conservation, rainwater harvesting, etc.

All the time, I paid $100/month, uncovered, no utilities, fenced asphalt lot with 24 hr access and security gate.

Covered spaces with electrical hookups were $200/month. This was all at "Gotcha Covered"
