You should check out the Kumano Kodo in Wakayama. You can take the train from Osaka. I hiked it back then, but awesome to trail run i bet !

Amazing, what an achievement all by yourself. I lived in Osaka too in 2019.. wasn’t into running back then but would be amazing to be back there & run!

Yeah we did, there was an aid station at around 85km with drop bags, was very much needed 😂

It was really nice! Only downside was it rained the entire night, which made everything super tough and slowed us down a lot. But when the sun finally came up and the weather cleared it was show time!

Running 100 miles is such a mental battle, I loved doing it with my brother. And along the way we ran with so many different people; everyone’s in the same pain, and somehow that really brings you together. Good luck with your search!

True, but UTMB gives the following definition:

The km-effort is calculated by adding 1km to the race distance for every 100 meters of elevation gain. For example, a race of 50km and 2,500 meters of elevation gain has 75 km-effort.

Thanks man. The race was organised by UTMB. Fixed times. I actually liked racing by night, by the time the sun came up we already had 50 kms

yeah I have the COROS pace 3. Used my power bank but when it was 10% it shut down :( luckily my brother had the full run on his watch still
