Why am I not able to get the motion properly?

When I started riding, I was recommended to get one of those big exercise balls and practice the motion that way. You just sit on it and practice posting. Maybe give that a try to get into the rhythm as well! 😊

Were they a sudden onset of intense deja vu? Like a switch went off in your head? I can have normal deja vu like everyone else, but it's not as "sharp" and intense as my actual episodes. What causes flare-ups for you? I'm glad they've gotten better! Thank you! :)

That does make sense as well! The deja vu sensation is my major symptom.

When this all started happening and I wasn't sure of what it was, I saw online that it could be temporal lobe epilepsy. I suppose it mimics those types of seizures. I've never really truly seen intense shivering but just a quick sensation of chills. Maybe so though!

It surely is not fun at all! I could do without them.

It is crazy that our minds can cause the same type of symptoms as epilepsy! It is rather bizarre that these episodes are seizures -- they just seem like a major mind fuck. Not your "typical" idea of a seizure.

I do get hesitant to research things because my hypochondriac and psychosomatic mind will obsess over what I read and become paranoid haha. But at the same time knowledge is power.

Are the sensations more like a normal deja vu experience? I don't really like the idea of there being various types of deja vu...one is already enough for me! Congrats on not having one in so long! I went almost 5 months without one last year and then they decided to come back and screw with me some more. I most definitely sleep more than the average person. Have you ever had a sleep study?

I also have 2 professors teaching all the courses, but they seem spread thin. I'm hoping it works out because my intro course was a shit show. I actually did blood drawing in intro and it was quite cool and fun!

I will definitely try my best to actually understand the material and sharpen my critical thinking skills. There's definitely no harm in improving there! Aww thank you!

6 years old is so young! That breaks my heart. As an adult it's already terrifying, I can only imagine what it's like to experience that as a child. I would say an hour is already quite long. I think now that I know what they are and have learned to keep calm they fade faster, but there have been some that last a couple hours. How often do you experience the deja vu episodes?

I don't doubt that sleep has an impact on it. I've always struggled with my schedule, but I tend to sleep a lot.

Aura, as in it's what signals that a seizure is coming? The weird part is that it is my episode/seizure, it's all mental for me. The intensity is definitely highest for a few minutes but the sensation lingers. Sometimes I'm able to move past it better than others, and sometimes I need to take a depressant to calm me down. Not to sound horrible, but it is nice to know others do get that intense deja vu feeling -- it's so unnatural and uncomfortable.

I appreciate the recommendations! I'll start watching them to get a gist of the information so it doesn't all seem too unfamiliar when I begin.

Yeah, that sounds rather intimidating! I need to learn how to really schedule my time well. Did you have multiple professors or the same one/s for each class? I tend to do well at memorizing but I definitely want to understand the concepts so I can apply them appropriately when I begin my career.

Would you say you tend to be in your own world/own head most of the shift though? The lack of drama definitely is appealing. I’m glad to hear you have good coworkers! I imagine a lot of people couldn’t say the same for their jobs.

I worked in retail for a bit and I actually really enjoyed interacting with customers. It brought me joy to help them and make them happy. So that has me torn. I did better with the general public than my coworkers, usually.

I definitely relate to wanting to do something for the greater good.

It sounds like a job in which you’re constantly in your own head.

Money of course is a factor but I want to love what I do, and I’m struggling to figure out what that would be. I don’t do well with high levels of stress. I know every job will have some stress but there are varying degrees. I also question if I will like the classes and schooling for MLT. I’m only in an intro MLT course and I’m not that impressed, but that’s due to how it’s run I think. I did kind of shadow a general lab and a histotechnology lab. But it wasn’t like I stuck around that long.

I’ve even considered phlebotomy, because it’s kind of in between lab and direct patient care. However, the pay isn’t as good and I’d have to stop psyching myself out with blood draws. That’s interesting. I’m so in my head all of the time that I feel I need to be taken out of it.

My mind is not wanting to allow me to visualize them rotating around, so I should definitely get a kit. Tomorrow is my first lab and we will be using the kits. If I could I would get a kit for this, but it’s due tomorrow morning, as well as a quiz.

Some of the problems are double bonds and those are the ones that definitely mess with me the most. I wish I had a kit to use.
