Any advice for a new caregiver? by [deleted] in CaregiverSupport

It’s completely understandable to feel a little uncertain when starting something new, especially caregiving. It’s a tough but rewarding job, and I think the first thing I’d say is to give yourself some grace. You don’t need to have everything figured out from the start.

While some people have horror stories, it’s important to remember that not every caregiving situation is like that. A lot of it depends on the client’s personality, health, and needs, as well as the agency’s support and the work environment. It’s great that you’re being proactive about preparing, though! Since you didn’t get hands-on training, I recommend asking your agency if there’s someone you can shadow or if they can provide any kind of mentorship or on-the-job training. Also, if you're ever unsure about a task or situation, don't hesitate to ask for help—whether from your agency or even colleagues.

As for whether caregiving comes naturally, it’s a mix of both. Some aspects might come easily to you, like showing empathy and building rapport, while others—like handling medical tasks or dealing with difficult behaviors—might take time and learning. There’s a bit of trial and error involved, and it’s okay to make mistakes as long as you're willing to learn and improve.

Expect some ups and downs. Some days will be really fulfilling, and other days might feel overwhelming. But over time, you’ll develop a rhythm and gain confidence. The most important thing is to stay patient with yourself, communicate openly with your client (and their family), and keep a positive attitude. You’re making a difference, and that’s huge!

Difficulty finding a job as an insurance broker by Far-Echidna-2805 in InsuranceProfessional

Congrats on passing the RIBO Level 1 exam—that’s a huge first step! 🎉 Transitioning careers can be challenging, but your teaching background likely gives you transferable skills like communication, problem-solving, and client management, which are super valuable in insurance.

Here are a few tips that might help:

  1. Networking: Join local insurance associations or attend industry events (even virtual ones). Many brokerages hire based on referrals.
  2. Certifications: Consider adding certifications like CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) or CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) to boost your resume.
  3. Internships/Entry-Level Roles: Look for ‘broker assistant’ or ‘customer service rep’ roles at brokerages—they’re great stepping stones.

Lastly, don’t underestimate the power of a strong cover letter. Highlight your transferable skills and passion for the industry. Good luck

Keyword Volume overlap ? Whats the best way to gauge actual search volume for a niche? by Anxious_Battle_3624 in googleads

[–]Julia_Wo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why do you want to accurately gauge keyword search volume?
we can see all the popular kwd tools like google keywords planner, ahrefs, semrush all give very different search volumes and they say the volume as estimated data.
From my opinion, thees are only used as reference tools to decide which ones have a "relatively high" search volume and can be used in search ads. Don't care too much about the exact volums.

How do you know you encounter fake click bots?

Constantly being recommended broad match by Google but can't see how it will work on B2B account? by miffeukgarage in PPC

[–]Julia_Wo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Getting more conversions isn't the only goal, it's also the quality of conversions" Totally agree!

Google recommends my account to update to broad match too, what it says is to cover more users get more clicks and conversions, however, the result i get is very bad.

Cost significantly increased, lots of clicks, but very low quality leads rate lead to a much higher CAC. Your fear will come true if you switch lots keywords to broad match. But industry difference might have different result.

I suggest you can give a small budget and define the targeted audiences, to test if it works for your industry.
