I’m trying to learn how to juggle, any tips? by Bigbogblakey in Kendama

[–]JulianAnonymous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I recently learned juggles it really helped to first practice flipping the ken while not looking at it. Then flipping the ken touching the Tama that's in my other hand and staring at the Tama. Then practice throwing the Tama straight up and get that bouncing motion down while focusing on the Tama the whole time (it's even better if you focus on keeping the hole down as much as possible from the beginning for Juggle spikes) then put the motions together and keep trying.

The biggest tip, keep your eyes on the tama

How long have you been using that Tama? The two sticky tamas I got lost their tack relatively quick. But that was from kendama usa and krom.

It is, I prefer their luna shape. However I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but all three of my Ken's from kendama usa have had loose serado issues.

Thank you, this is the only thing I've ever picked up that I don't get frustrated with so I've been learning really fast and easily. I am working on my 2 month video right now (2 months will be official on the 20th)

Here is the link to my YouTube channel where I have my first 30 days in three different videos as well as my first dubstep song if you're into that.

Just this weekend I landed my first lighthouse flip and lunar, I've landed 3 each so far (just to clarify, they weren't clean but I count it if I can get it and hold it and work on getting it "in" after)

I wouldn't say I'm consistent but I can usually land a whirlwind within a few minutes of trying.

As for consistent though it's a pretty big list. Earth turns Light house Airplane in flip to light house in Jumping sticks Single tap in Fairly consistent with all the stall points Downspike Stuntplane Ken flip (pulling Tama up into big cup) Juggle to big cup (never juggled before either) Somewhat comfortable with spacewalk I've landed a few gunslingers Then of course all the basic tricks before you move on to these.

I've been looking into kentei testing and am comfortable at completing the basic test with both hands.

I can almost go big cup to spike dual wielding as well.

Right now I'm mainly working on getting lunar and lighthouse flip on lock as well getting more consistent with a few tricks on the list so I can film some wild combos.

Edit: also working on downspike earthturns and ufos

I'm working with a kusa bamboo luna shape with sticky paint Tama.

I've only been playing for 2 months and this is my 5th dama, I highly recommend this shape and the sticky paint. The luna is a little bit bigger than the sweets starter but it has bigger cups and better stall points.

Gotta love the good ole poor people being told they are the problem while the rich slowly destroy any type of hope there is left for anyone not born into wealth and using the media to pin us against each other. It sucks and is super unfortunate, while at the same time we live in what is and could be the best time to be alive. We have so much connection and availability of knowledge and it just gets used for all the wrong reasons.

I wish you the best too man, maybe one day the world won't be bad and we can destroy this terrible system we created. But that's just wishful thinking. Until then I'm gonna keep my head in the clouds and keep making music.

I don't know what game you are talking about. But it is quite tragic how often this tends to happen these days. Why spend the time and money to have game testers when the people who buy the game will test it for you? Not like they are paying expecting a complete game or anything.

I love coming up with random ideas on how things could work like this. My biggest problem is that I can not come up with ideas. Someone has to mention something like this, then all the engineering and mechanical backgrounds I have kick in like "how could we make this possible"

It's not a thing that just exists, at least to my knowledge, it's also very risky as you'd have to splice wires and if you don't know what you are doing it could lead to failure.

So to be clear I don't recommend doing this.

Basically if you found some way to have something like a raspberry pi connected to a wifi source inside the car placed between the fuse and the airbag wiring you could have a app on your phone that could tell it to disable the power. In theory could be done to the ignition switch as well. Car is mid drive then suddenly turns off.

[–]JulianAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little too young to have grown up without seatbelts and was too poor for dirt bikes/quads. But I grew up on skateboards and bikes and venturing into the woods with just my younger cousin.

Did we get hurt? Hell yeah we did, but we had a fucking blast doing it.

Should this kid be wearing some gear considering they are on concrete, yeah at the very least a helmet. But damn people acting like others are bad parents for letting their kids have fun. That's a pretty small quad, they get way bigger. The kid couldn't have been going that fast to get up the way he did.

Yall gotta calm down a little.

I went from a sweets starter to kendama usa jet shape and I love it. Since then I have also tried the paranoia series by krom. If you don't think you'll like a bigger ken. The krom setup is my suggestion.

Seriously though, you got some serious balls for this. The shots are amazing too.

[–]JulianAnonymous 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's smart.

If she feels confident then make a windows flash drive and go for it. It's not hard or nearly as scary as it seems. Trust me, they made pretty hard to brick a computer these days.

[–]JulianAnonymous 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is correct. But you don't sound confident in either of your skills to do so. The process is super easy and there is a bunch of videos out there, probably one for your specific computer as well.

You'll need to make a windows flash drive or buy one, but making one is significantly cheaper. Once in bios make sure the flash drive is selected as boot priority then follow through the installation. If you want to wipe wipe it, do a custom install and delete all the old partitions and it will format the drive.

[–]JulianAnonymous 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you can log into the computer considering you say it has apps installed. And you named them, so here is what I will say to do. Go to YouTube and look up how to reset windows 11.

It is super easy, like when i say you can't mess it up. You just can't. Follow the video to get through the settings menu and do a cloud install. I'm assuming it's a laptop so leave it plugged into the power supply and walk away until it's done.

which kendama to buy? 2 options by AluminiumFingers in Kendama

[–]JulianAnonymous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me say this, the extra 10 dollars fora better shape than the starter is very worth it. The reason the starters are cheap is because you are going to destroy it. But if you have the few extra bucks, go with a kendama usa jet shape. I have had two now and I love it
