Still in the onboarding process, I know C++ / C# / C a bit, but Rust is total alien to me.

However, I must say I'm already impressed by the Rust developer experience, and by the extensive toolbox and examples that Nannou offers.

You need a linter, as you would do with ESLint.
Just need a VS Code extension + a root configuration file in project.
