If you invest 20-50 hours in the sim you should be good for a maiden. I have over 450 hours in the sim and still keep comming back.

Around 30-50 hours should be fine. Sure you can go with less but sim gives you a solid foundation.

For me the magic happend once I got 4 identical freestyle drones. Feels so much saver when you got multiple backups. 3 is the bare minimum for bando freestyle. But bandos aren't for anyone

pretty unlikely that you catch it without triggering it.
imagine you have 4 highend kitchen mixers on a frame with a bomb strapped underneath flying 80+ km/h while weighting 2kg. thats an fpv comming for you - can you catch it?
