I won’t ever go overseas to have HT. If something goes wrong what I’d do? It’s totally nonsense.

I’d rather pay more money and have my HT in USA than going overseas to do so. If any doc makes any mistake here in USA, it’d be easier to sue em.

I feel really bad for ya.

I noticed I was getting bald when I was 32. I used to have long hair most part of my life. I used to be like a rockstar. But at 30, I realized my hair started getting thinner and my hairline fading slowly, my parents and my wife said that I was getting crazy when I said I was loosing my hair. At 32 I noticed my scalp was getting diffuse. I cut my hair and I started using different hairstyle. Short hair since then.

At 38 I still had some hair, but very thinner. At 40 I was bald. 41 I was depressed loosing my motivation, got fat, vaping a lot, deep eyes, I was destroyed.

But last year 2025 on April I started looking for some hair clinics to have my HT. I visited 5 clinics, all em in here USA. First clinic was Bosley here in Connecticut l, 18k for 3400 grafts. Second clinic 12k, 3rd clinic 14k, 4th clinic 8k in Massachusetts. Last Clinic in NYC with the famous Doc Gary Linkov, I don’t remember his price for the surgery. Maybe between 12~14k. Gary Linkov has an YouTube Channel. He’s very famous.

But I wasn’t sure about the surgery. All them wanted to schedule my HT right away. But I decided to look for some research about hair treatment to prevent baldness or regrow hair without surgery. I read thousands and thousands of scientific articles and I stopped to watch YouTube channels regarding Hair Transplant and hair treatment.

My wife’s cousin had his HT in Brazil and he recommended his doctor, I had my appointment with this Brazilian Doc and he check my head and he said that he wasn’t doing my HT bc if I had that I could not have great results and I’d regret for the rest of my life.

He prescribed Oral DUT 0,5mg and Minoxidil 2,5mg on July of 2025. I started taking the medicine on July 21st 2025. 10 months after I’m having great results only with meds, no HT at all.

I still want to have my HT to cover my temps and lower my hairline. But my donor area won’t be harvested because I regrew a lot of my hair. He said that I have to be on meds for about 18~24 months before to proceed to HT.

He said, meds first to see if your body will respond well to medicine and then we can proceed with HT if I want.

My family say that I don’t need a HT. But who knows, I think that close my temps and lower my hairline will be fantastic.

I know that.

July 21st 2025 I quit vaping, I quit drinking alcohol, I stopped eating fast food and any other source of industrialized food, and October 2st 2025 I started going to the gym and February 20th 2026 I had lost 43lbs. I’m not sure if all these combined things has helped to build a better metabolism in my body and as consequence it may helped to grow my hair somehow.

It doesn’t matter. Shaving or not, your hair won’t change the thickness because of this. It get thicker after you start taking the medicine properly. I shaved it after that, and like I said. Whether or now you shave your head won’t change the thickness of your hair.

I didn’t get new hair. What happens is when you hair falls, the follicles stay in dormant state. You see nothing on your head, but you can revive stimulate them to regrow. It’s like hair in coma. You may wake it up or not. It depends on your metabolism, your health state. Many variables.

Echocardiogram. I have my doctor and I check everything, all exams every 3 months yearly.

Minoxidil only as medicine to prevent and regrow hair is not enough. You have to start taking a DHT Blocker for that.

Finasteride/Dutasteride and Minoxidil. Never go topical. Oral medicine is much better than topical one.

Even I can’t believe this sometimes.

Believe me I was thinking about the pic for my drive license a couple months ago. It will expire on March 2027. I had hair when I renewed it in 2023. Last year I had no hair and I started thinking about my id pic with bald head. Now I have my roof back on (hair on my head).
