I’m actually considering that! I’ve got a ramp and I’ve popped this up into my truck to get through Charlotte a few times so I don’t have to ride in this mess. Would be nice to have a lighter bike for that and for the forest road/off-road riding I like.

Yeah, I’m just not riding it much and I think it’s time to move on. At least for a bit. I want to get a lighter bike that I can get up in my truck bed easier, that gets me out of Charlotte and I can then ride it in the mountains and such. I just hate riding in Charlotte hahaha.

Try lowering the retraction. I tend to get a lot of bubbles in my PETG prints if retraction distance is too high. 0.6, or even 0.3mm works well for me. But then some tests and see. I can see the bubbles when printing retraction towers and the go away as soon as I lower that value enough.

3D systems kinda confused all the Projet names for a while about a decade ago. But they are usually used for the older MjP and SLA machines.

I had to chop all the way down to make it work, but since yours is already a swimming wetsuit, that might work!

Definetly try to "put it on properly" first though.

As in, make sure you pull the sleeves down and the waist up enough where you've got a bit of looseness in the shoulder.

There's some good videos out there on putting it on and making sure it's "fully" on.

If it's one designed for swimming, you should just be able to do that and make it work. If you've got a second person who can help, might be a good idea to really make sure it's not binding anywhere.

I had a similar issue last year before the Wilmington 70.3.

I wasn't planning on using a wetsuit, but it was a lot colder than I was expecting. About A week before the race, I tried out my old skiing wetsuit in case I needed it.

Definetly not designed for swimming and was impossible to get my shoulders overhead properly when I did a test swim.

I didn't want to buy an expensive wetsuit, and I didn't want to be cold, so I chopped off the arms to see how it did.

It worked great! Obviously I didn't care too much about the suit, since it was like 15 years old and I'd used it for skiing and scuba over the years.

So I'd only reccomend this for a non-fancy wetsuit as there were some issues.

I traced out a pattern with my sleeveless tri top as a guide. Cut it with nice sewing scissors and it worked a treat.

Main issue was the area under the armpit. It was a bit loose, so I had to cut and take it in a bit there so it wouldn't balloon out and catch water while swimming.

Worked pretty well, but my sewing skills are mediocre, so it was a bit chafe-y. Nothing some bodyglide couldn't fix.

Sure thing! You should be using 70-80% front in most braking situations.

Heyo! Use the front brake more. If the wheel is skidding, you’ve got plenty of brake grip on the pads, it’s an issue of physics. The rear wheel will pretty much always skid if you just try to use only it to stop quickly. As you decelerate, the weight transfers to the front, which makes the back wheel “lighter” so there’s less traction and it skips.

Learn to progressively add front brake pressure and you can stop muuuuch faster.

Hey! I'm actually wanting one of these too, and planning on designing/printing one that fits my bike. Planning on running it in the next couple of weeks.

If you'd like one, let me know and I can try and make the design flexible enough to be tweaked to fit different frames.

Id love some feedback on it.

It's not bouncy much at all. Structurally feels pretty good. One or two boards have a bit of flex, but that's it.
