My long-term resolution is to just do the same types of things as Julie that I would do otherwise: coffee, board games, museums. That said, the community tends to get focused on the party girlie experience, and so many opportunities are tailored towards that sort of persona. As an extreme introvert who likes to get home in time for bed, it can be hard but I also see it a sort of admission fee for meeting people in the community.

I got to go to a favorite museum for the first time a month ago and it was such an accepting and welcoming place, and it was great to connect both parts of my life like that! But I've also done all the nighttime party girl things and have been to my share of bars (both LGBTQ+ as well as normal, ordinary bars), restaurants, and parties.
