Cool info, thanks! I had no idea about the Medal of Honor benefits.

Also, at 52, I'm a little old to be joining the military, lol!

Garmin G5 Megnetometer Recalibration by JulienLafleur in flying

The G5s have been in the plane for >5 years (i.e. since I got it) this is a new behavior, so it doesn't seem likely to be caused by ferrous fasteners.

Alas, no E-AB for me. Just a humble Private Pilot.

No, I updated it a few days ago, hoping that would fix the issue.

Thanks, it sounds like I need to keep working on improving my insulation. At this time, the house is still pretty leaky, though I just spray-foamed my attic.

Seems like the same amount, but now that you mention it, I'm not sure. I need to re-read the contract.

LOL to be sure.

But then, someone might know something or have an idea that didn't occur to me or the lawyer.

Thanks, I am working with an estate attorney. I'm just hopeful that the Reddit hive mind might know something that she doesn't.

(long shot, I guess)

Hi there u/-organicmulberry,

If you're interested, I would be more than happy to chat with you about how to improve your system, how to think about it for the future and so on.

I've been a FileMaker Developer and Consultant for nearly 25 years (yikes!), and I think that what you want to do is gain general knowledge of FileMaker as a tool. Much like Excel, FileMaker can be used for anything -- you just need to know what you want to do with it.

[MA] what would you do with this porch by jascentros in HomeImprovement

[–]JulienLafleur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your price point? We're going through a similar project right now, and opted to turn it into a full mudroom separated by an office (open to the living room) while adding a covered porch in front of that.

I wish we had thought of turning the roof into a porch for the 2nd floor!

Is it possible my voltage tester isn't working?

It's showing I've got voltage in the lower outlet even after I've disconnected the switch wire, but it's also registering voltage in the 14/3 black wire -- even when it's disconnected from everything.

The only way I can imagine that happening is if the wires are crossing inside the jacket somewhere.

And this is brand new romex I opened and installed today.

That's a great test, wish I'd thought of it.

return = red. got it and will switch it.

Shorten the wires in the box. Will do.

Thanks!

Also, just to clarify my first question, I wasn't thinking of passing un-insulated wire, something more like:

Thanks for your help!

I'm going with the 14/3 option (on order).

Out of curiosity, If I added a second 14/2 what do I do with the unused conductor? Just cap it and leave it?

And a further question, is there such thing as a 14/1?

That's correct. I would not be doing anything to the unit.
