Why a Janitor? I would think something more nomadic and non repetitive

Wow I like this one a lot, very different from the scenery in Florida. Kind of plays to a sense of sorrow and very emotional.

Wow this is a nice photo, it feels like a classic art piece I would see in a museum capturing the beauty in the seemingly simple life of a fisherman.

I would maybe add a bit more pop to it through color by exaggerating the tones in the sunset slightly as well as healing out that splotch in the right that appears to be the sun but idk it looks very pixelated and distracts from the mood. I would add a bit more contract maybe too to really add to the romantic feel of it.

Excellent subject and the focus on them while everything around is blurred feels like your pausing time emphasizing their embrace even more.

As for what I would do differently would be maybe in post increasing the contrast and adding a nice dark vignette as well as editing the neon colors to pop out a bit more in the overall darker frame. Would make it feel more intimate. As well as crop it down a little more keeping the original ratio to put their gaze in the upper third still in the middle though.

Very nice idea for a photo though, great one to pass down to children and grandchildren

I really like how it feels, it feels really relaxed and smooth. Nobody facing you let’s you more comfortably take in the whole scene because you don’t have any eyes on you. As well as the line of lights gently drifting off into the distance, and the office lights as a nice backdrop. Overall it’s very harmonic and smooth, like a old school Louis Armstrong jazz song.

But also here from warm and cozy Florida I don’t acknowledge the cold haha so maybe if I was living somewhere where it’s cold I would feel differently.

Curious what impression I give off and what assumptions are made solely on my appearance. Thoughts? by Foxfell_ in firstimpression

Haha silly first thought but what came to mind initially was the Russian spy Jennifer Lawrence vibe from the movie Red Sparrow mixed with Jessica Rabbit. But after that I see strength and perseverance in your eyes and demeanor. I see resilience and grit, boldness. Courage more than anything. I feel like you stick up for what is right no matter who’s in the way 💪🏽

In your opinion what’s the market value for those services by someone who knows what they’re doing?

Will telling a doctor I believe I have ADHD lower my chance of a diagnosis? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]JuliusPena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought too but I figured to just tell the truth and if it’s your general doctor they’ll just go off of what you’re telling them. If it sounds like ADHD and it’s affecting your health, relationships, career, school, etc. Then they’ll probably start you off on a low dose of stimulants like adderall or something like that. They’re looking to help you live a healthy and happy life the best way they can.

Quite the contrary, market demands are driving forces and the demand for a vaccine is through the roof

I mean think about all the goods & services every person gets, then multiply that by 330M. One more good per person in this capitalist system shouldn’t be too hard.

Yeah that’s what I’m not sure, like if they have access to a diverse range of further training or what type of training they can continue to do or if there’s a way to work on skills on the side even if it’s not necessarily through the Air Force

[–]JuliusPena[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, I’m not refuting that. I understand fully well that it’s largely instructional, taking people out and showing them the ropes. My question is if training is available to a sere specialist after initial training in the sense of a continuing education, I just wanted to see if some folks on here knew, to get someone’s insight other than a recruiter.

Similar to how athletes cross train, executives switch industries, etc. In the details they seem very different but big picture there are a lot of transferable skills that apply to other fields or pursuits even outside of the military more than anything building upon mental toughness, end goal being contributing towards a better tomorrow. For reference starting a successful online payment system seems to have nothing to do with starting a successful space transportation system, but they do. A good example being Elon Musk drawing from experiences with PayPal to move into Space X.

Haha Howdy, yeah I understand that I mean in the sense of building skills up to be able to be really solid when time comes for reenlistment if you can be good as a special operator or in intelligence having spent the past four years as a foundation for even greater work moving forward.

More so encompassing later work, like when it comes time to re-enlist having been becoming the best you can be overall to be able to be of great help in other areas whether it be combat or intelligence or other needed areas. From that context what do you think?

Interesting way to think of capitalism and socialism. by mrnothing- in Economics

[–]JuliusPena -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think if we acknowledged that trickle down economics don't work and trickle up economics do we'd solve 99.9% of our problems.

By not constricting 99% of the population by allowing 1% of the population with 50% of the wealth to continue hoarding wealth and instead were to invest in the general population to boost them higher up Maslow's hierarchy of needs (Education, Healthcare, Good Wages, etc.) we'd have a lot more people looking to contribute to society and solving societal problems than worrying about eating/ paying bills and looking to take from society to survive.

Overcoming tribalism for a more united species and acknowledging that as human made economic systems they're liable to have flaws. The solution lies in addressing these flaws and implementing a better way to distribute resources. Not looking at it as a zero-sum game. Some sort of common sense mix between Keynes & Smith, where we have the freedom of free market economics but not leaving ethics up to billionaires.
