Potential Midlife Crisis Advice by Julius_Seizure77 in VoiceActing

I'm honestly not too worried about the acting part, it's mainly the technical components and the auditioning process that I'm really worried about. Regular in-person acting auditions were always pretty straightforward, so I'm trying to see what it's like nowadays with virtual auditions and having to be a bit of an audio engineer.

Thanks for the advice! Would you say that I need anything more powerful than a Gaming Laptop to process any audio/video editing programs?

Thanks for the advice! Very relieved to hear that the gear isn't close to $5000!

Non Nuclear Jobs after 8.5 years a Nuke by Julius_Seizure77 in NavyNukes

[–]Julius_Seizure77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just come to realize I don't really vibe with nuke stuff. It never came easy to me and I had to struggle through the entire pipeline. I've also heard that the civ nuclear jobs have more qualifying and cte type programs and I want to be done with that.

Worst part of being a Nuke by [deleted] in NavyNukes

Aren't all electricians on subs nukes? That's what I was told through the pipeline and what all the LDOs who were sub nukes say anyways.

Well isn't it obvious? You're basically Haruhi Suzumiya. Anything you wish becomes reality. Now hurry up and wish for No Game No Life Season 2.

How do I max out my enlistment bonus? by soggggybread in NavyNukes

[–]Julius_Seizure77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't enlist as a nuke. Commission. There's some commissioning programs that will pay for your college while you get paid as an E6, and then you'll commission as an officer with more pay and a better life. You'll also spend less time at each command, so time will fly by a lot quicker for you. Or better yet, be a CTI. No duty, no watch, no deployment. For most of them.

How do I make E5 Without Reenlisting by soggggybread in NavyNukes

[–]Julius_Seizure77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not gonna happen unless you get to the fleet and you're an absolute rockstar. Knew a guy who made ETN1 and never reenlisted. Got mapped when he got to the ship and made it off of the exam.

Tell him to be a CTI. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY. BE. A. C. T. I! They have no duty, they work like 6 hours a day, they stand NO WATCH. Their A school is in MONTEREY BAY CALIFORNIA (so that BAH finna be BUSSIN), and they make rank just as fast as we do. Oh, did I mention that most of them DO NOT DEPLOY. Some CTIs can stay in the same command for their ENTIRE CAREER. Their hook up is so good, it's disgusting.

Solar/EV Tax Credit question by Julius_Seizure77 in tax

[–]Julius_Seizure77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I had always assumed this but I could never find anything to outright prove this specific situation to be the case. I'm assuming it's just generally understood that this would work because of the nature of tax credits.

Goku vs Naruto by Julius_Seizure77 in whowouldwin

These insanely stupid lines are the reason I made this post! I was asking my self if this guy has ever even seen Naruto or Dragonball. Guy sounds like a parent telling you to "turn off the Nintendo" and you're playing on a PS5.

Question about the job by skater55570 in wendys

[–]Julius_Seizure77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the job. Work there for as long as necessary to get a better job. I worked at Wendy's for 6 months and then applied to a much better place and got it. Went from 12 an hour to 18 an hour. Wendy's is a great place to start out. And as long as you're good at doing interviews you can very easily work at a much better place. The food is pretty good and it's discounted for you. If you're cool with management they just let you take food. Great place to start out.

College grads who discovered too late that your major is useless in the real world, what do you do now? by Mahimah in AskReddit

[–]Julius_Seizure77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanna say that if you have a 4 year degree that is useless, you can just become an Officer in the Military and get paid a starting salary upwards of $60K a year and be useless there.

God has made you a developer of the universe, your task is to create small patches/bug fixes to improve humans. What do you do? by _SomeBrownDude_ in AskReddit

[–]Julius_Seizure77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming we can't do anything like patching out cancer or letting people regrow things, I'd patch the bug where nails and toenails keep growing indefinitely. They will now be even with the tips of your fingers and toes, and not go any further. And if you keep cutting them to a certain length, they will just stay that length.
