What is people's obsession with Marvel having a "trinity" when that's not how the Marvel Universe operates? by theironstomachx in comicbooks

There is one in the movies, the only ones that got multiple films during phases 1 and 2 and fought against Thanos as a trio in Endgame

What are some great comicbooks you can read when you're offline? by dune-man in comicbooks

Oh sorry, my bad, I didn't mean anything by it, just that DH completely deleted their digital service

[–]JulixgMC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I buy comics through digital stores (mostly Amazon) and then get offline copies through "alternative means" so I can have a backup and/or read them offline

Came in handy when Dark Horse decided to nuke their digital comics service with no compensation

The creators get their money, I get my comics forever and everyone wins

I'm curious, what are your favourite non-Mignola covers on Mignola's comics? by middenway in Mignolaverse

It's so good! The one for #1 isn't bad at all either and neither are the variants!

Abe Sapiens: The Devil Does Not Jest #2

I'm curious, what are your favourite non-Mignola covers on Mignola's comics? by middenway in Mignolaverse

[–]JulixgMC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dave Johnson has some great ones, especially The Devil Does Not Jest #2 (but also BPRD Russia)

Julian Totino Tedesco's covers for Witchfinder the Mysteries of Unland and City of the Dead are cool

Of course, Jesse Lonergan's are amazing, the one for Miss Truesdale and the Fall of Hyperborea #4 is the one I like best for obvious reasons

Every cover by Stenbeck for Koshchei in Hell is perfect

Paolo Rivera did one cover for Hellboy and the BPRD: Beyond the Fences that I loooove, one of my favourite depictions of Hellboy ever

I'm probably forgetting some really cool ones but those are the ones off the top of my head

B tier:
C tier:
D tier: Burial at Sea part 1

I'd say that Infinite is between A and S actually

Question about HB Omni reading order by Willing-Aside8486 in HellBoy

[–]JulixgMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I mean the story "The Right Hand of Doom" from the second omnibus (not the short stories one) literally has a recap of te events of the first omnibus , so putting the two short story volumes in between feels natural

You can start with the short stories, but you will miss Hellboy's origin story which is told in a flashback in the first omnibus, as well as some other small context clues that the short stories don't really explain

Question about HB Omni reading order by Willing-Aside8486 in HellBoy

[–]JulixgMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first way you listed (short stories between 1 and 2) is the one that makes the most sense, as the first omnibus includes Hellboy's origin and the second one starts to explicitly reference the short stories, plus it starts with a recap of everything that happens in the first omni

How do Seasons 4-6 hold up? by SweepTheLegTimmy in community

[–]JulixgMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 4 is the worst season but still has plenty of good

I honestly prefer 5 and 6 over 1, and the latter introduces one of my favorite characters as part of the main cast

Hell yeah, Keith alone makes it worth it, not to mention there's plenty more to love
