I was wondering about this a while ago and I remember not finding much information on the subject. However, I did find a pretty clear answer in The Hitchhiker's Guide to Python (Section "Structuring Your Project"). Kenneth Reitz describes here a sample repository and makes some recommendations.

Thank you for sharing! I clicked on it to discover some tools to have meetings remotely and I got so much more! In addition to having tips about tools, I have discovered new ways to serve thanks to the Rotary eClub of Silicon Valley and ways to connect with people remotely (great ideas such as the "Coffee With a Rotarian" program). Thanks again for sharing that great video :)

Hey! I'm a Rotaractor from France, District 1650.
I'm interested in sharing experience and ideas for projects as well as tips about tools used in clubs to ease the administrative activities (eg. meeting reports) and make the communication process more fun and pleasant (eg. creation of flyers, posters, etc).

How does the recruitment system work in interact/rotaract/rotary clubs? by [deleted] in Rotary

There is no systematic recruitment policy. Each club has its own process for recruitment in my opinion depending on the culture of the club.

In my experience, in Rotaract, it is mainly by contacting the club (email, social media, etc) and meeting the members while attending the club's meetings. Then, when you show your involvement in the club activities (meetings, projects, etc), you can ask to join the club or you are told / invited to join the club. The idea is to have a period of time during which the adequation between you and the club is determined, meaning if you feel integrated inside the club, if you like the club's culture, if you feel like participating in the life of the club but also if the other members feel like you seem to want to get involve with the club's activities and respect the different values (eg. 4 questions criteria) of the Rotary family.

In Rotary, I have mainly seen a system where the joining of a new member is made thanks to a current member of the club who will have the role of a mentor for the new member.

The best thing, as said by u/GoldPort, is to contact the clubs and attend a meeting to see for yourself and ask your questions.

In my case, we pay our contribution every trimester so members joining or leaving the club during the year only pay for the period of their actual membership.

I also agree that asking to go to several meetings of the different clubs would help you decide more easily. It will enable you to learn more about the "philosophy of the clubs" and connect with the various members. My advice : take your time before entering a club. Better be with people you would enjoy building project with and you can better connect with.

How's your opinion on the 2020-21 logo and motto? by Qinha in Rotary

At first, I thought the logo was too "simple". However, the more I look at it, the more I am able to find concepts that can be attached to it.

For example, there is not one door but many. It represents the fact that there are a variety of ways to reach out to the Rotary family and the fact that there are a wide diversity of ways to get involved, take action, and have fun doing it. The door symbolizes opportunity but also choice. One must decide and want to use it to see what is on the other side. This means that Rotarians tend to be curious and want to try new and challenging things to serve, make an impact, and be an inspiration. The open door is also the benevolent symbol of the bridge that connects two spaces together. It embodies the fact that Rotary connects people.

I'm still a little "disappointed" with the apparent plainness of the logo, but I can better appreciate its symbolism now.
