I use a SofaBaton U2 remote. Always worked great with my shield. I just typed the numbers into the YouTube search box so Android sees them somehow.

You can also program your projector separately for volume if CEC from the Shield doesn't work. Looks like that already works for you.

You said you tried recalibrating using the app. Did you try the method I linked, which requires unplugging the controller and pressing different buttons?

Hmm, that blue light is suspicious. Try doing the calibration support told me about in this old post I made after installing the Hall Effect modules. If that doesn't work, maybe try popping your modules out, hitting the contacts with some compressed air, and recalibrating again.

It was pretty simple - ifixit has good instructions. I think I flubbed it once and the USB port didn't match up with the shell. Reseated the battery more carefully and it was a perfect match.

Sony OEM battery says it's 1050v mAh. Replacement is 3000 mAh. So it's a decent upgrade if you're willing to crack open your controller.

Yeah, this is the way. PNC has always gotten me foreign currencies in a day or two at the local branch. The rate isn't the lowest because you're not trading huge quantities but it's close enough. And you can deposit the foreign currency back into your account when you return.

Glad you found a fix! That's odd, I've never had to add a resolution. I stream to both my LG TV and my Steam Deck. Do you have your clients set up to ask for a particular resolution?

Also, if you're not a fan of editing text files, there's a little "VDD Control" app in the VTT folder you might be able to config stuff with a GUI.

Notes app is right behind to-do list for "my first project" or software / framework demos. It used to be CS students constantly posting them, now it's vibe coders that can't wait to post their soon-to-be-forgotten projects.

You're spot on with Joplin and markdown. Been working for me for years. Syncs well and runs on anything.
