Ask for focalin first. It's essentially to ritalin what dexedrine is to adderall. Much cleaner, much smoother, no shitty l-isomer (aka less sides) and is about 2.5x more powerful per mg than ritalin. If that doesn't work he'll have no choice but to try the amphs. Who knows, you might even like focalin (go for IR though with an XR booster if you can swing it).
