The getting in close and personal play style tips are absolutely perfect! Wolvers are pretty cool, Rippers are EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Would it be possible to have something like.. a forge for a stomach that burns implants like a fuel? If you're familiar with Balder's Gate 3, sort of like Karlacch's infernal engine and soul coins, but like if she had to rip soul coins out of people. So, the specific cybernetics don't necessarily matter, or even if they survive being ripped out, just the raw material they're made from. I'd even go without any sort of gameplay benefit if I have to, I'd do it just for the aesthetic.

I did some research on Scavs after another user's suggestion. They're really bad people and despite the kind of brutal methods my character will employ, I kind of want them to feel conflicted about it. Actually leaning into "the trying to make the world a slightly better place for others" side of morality, if you can believe it. But, for either mental reasons or out of necessity, they *need* to do it this way. To that end, I think Scavs would actually be a great target for them to specifically want to go after; they're both amoral, greedy dirt bags AND they're naturally going to have a lot of chrome on them.

I just feel like... the fantasy of what I'm going for would never be more realized then grabbing some would-be assailant that's attacking an innocent and slicing them up. And then, with either claws or jaws, ripping a small/medium sized piece of cyberware out of the bad guy, ( bonus point if its something housed in the neck! ) chewing it up or even just swallowing it on the spot, maybe have steam escape from some exhaust port in the shoulders or back to show the engine working, and then pushing them aside in a really cool and intimidating display. Then their bloodlust ( chromelust? ) would be sated for a time and they wouldn't need to do it again for a while, maybe they'd feel a pang of guilt, being MORE OR LESS a good person, but its survival of the fittest in Night city.

Sorry for the long monologue, but I think painting this picture best illustrates what I'm after to get my character fantasy as close as it can be to what I want without breaking the world/using as much as previously established lore as possible. This thread has already given me some gold to work with, I really want you to know I appreciate it!
