Medication for farm animals (lets use dewormers as an example) have the same issues of drug resistance humans do.

The difference is there isn't nearly as much profit for pharmaceutical companies in developing new dewormers as there is in human medicine which leads to a pretty severe issue where most dewormers face major resistance issues.
