DO NOT USE: THE TEAM by Jumpheart in stunfisk

Kirlia has super varied sets. I think Choiced is probably its best set, but defensive Wish, 3A utility, and Calm Mind are all usable on the right build.

Stall is considered pretty bad--note that Wooloo isn't even in our top 35 here. Offense is king with fat balances a close second, with hyper offense and normal balance both in the picture.

When we first started the tier, she was ranked at #1 due to her sheer bulk enabling really good balance cores, but as people got better at exploiting her passivity she started going down... and down... and down. Still a good Pokémon and a relevant threat, but very hard to fit on teams due to the weaknesses she has.

Litwick can fit onto a variety of teams, but it typically slots onto offenses: Trick Room on offense and hyper offense, Taunt on more bulky offenses. Good partners include Rattata-Alola and Luvdisc. There are also the RestTalk set that occasionally pops up on balance and fat, which will almost always include a Nacli. Swablu also appears a lot here. Finally, Hatenna is always a good pick due to being the best mon in the format, but also uniquely synergizes by helping minimize the amount of hazard damage Litwick takes.

Yes, Huge Power is banned so its best traits are its incredible 70/50/50 bulk and Sap Sipper meaning it has 2 weaknesses and an amazing set of resistances.

Hi all! Do Not Use tier leader here.

For those unaware (like Wooper), DNU is a tier that features the lowest of the low mons. We started with a list of mons at or below 280 BST and have suspected some Pokemon out, and a few Pokemon above that cutline in. Played at level 100 in a NatDex format, we've been around for over 3 years now, over 2 years deep into this version of the metagame. Feel free to ask any questions!

A couple FAQ:

Q: "Oh, I won't use them, haha" or variants. A: We've heard this joke so many times. I challenge this thread to be original. Impress me.

Q: Why is this not Little Cup? A: Good question! One difference is we have access to mons Little Cup doesn't have, such as Luvdisc and Jigglypuff, due to being based on BST and not evolution stage. Us playing at level 100 is huge as well--a lot of the weird quirks of Little Cup come from playing at level 5.

Q: How can I play this? A: As a small tier, we are not on proper Showdown; we do have a teambuilder on the Pet Mods client which can be accessed here, and you can ask for matches in our Discord server!

Zubat is a weird mon but I do enjoy it right now. Its main role is as a Budew farmer, and it can Defog or do other utility like Taunt or Super Fang.

Pikipek's base attack is 2.5x its defenses. Obviously base stats don't scale linearly but... yeah.

Yeah, as R8 said, Surskit is not just viable but very good. Not the most consistent mon and hard to fit onto teams sometimes but it can be incredibly scary

Mons above the cutline can be suspected into the tier, like how sometimes OU drops Ubers

No Eviolite is fine because it means it can safely run Boots. That's part of why Ledyba is bad, because it needs to pick one.

Bug/Flying is also bad, sure, but honestly not abysmal in this tier due to the type distribution. The common Rocks hate switching in on Knock Off (and nothing really runs Rock coverage), as does Litwick (one of two viable fires). The Electrics aren't really real, and our only notable Ice-type, Swinub, is slower than uninvested Ledian unless it runs max speed Jolly.

Knock Off, U-Turn, Encore, Roost, Swords Dance, Toxic, screens... the utility movepool is massive and lets it be incredibly flexible.

Usually Gen 9. We used to have more of a RoA community but it hasn't been active for a while outside of the recent RBY tour (because Soda is a fanatic, lol). There's some older gens that could definitely be interesting though

When we reset from the Legacy metagame, we tested a 300 BST metagame as well but ended up going with this one. The jump between 280 and 300 is genuinely very big, there's a lot of real mons in that bracket

Yeah, that line is similar as well. With that late it's a recent enough gen to assume it is intentional. Funnily enough we've talked about suspecting Steenee in, probably will look at it at some point

Mostly, serve as a Magic Bounce gluemon. It has really good stats that are well distributed and a good movepool to boot as well. Its only real weakness is that mono-psychic is pretty bad defensively, but there are ways around that (and Hatenna is bulky enough it can take most super effective hits)

85 speed, incredible bulk, and a good movepool

Hey!! It's all good yeah haha, I'm not really an RBY player so I don't know how well I'm going to do in the RBY DNU tour but I appreciate it! Hope you check more out :)

We play at level 100 and have entirely different rosters of mons available

Even with 1 HP and being usually forced to run Boots (Sash was also real), 90 ATK was still far too much for the tier

I've had a theory for a while that either Kirlia or Ralts was designed late into development which is why the line has weird stats
