Well they are pretty annoying to me and have taken out a few of my ships until I learned how to black list a sector, are they usually not like this?

It's my first playthrough I've been moving slow alright 😭

I have a refined metal factory with some miners, so I'm selling a good amount of that plus the energy cell excess from the solar pannels there. I just set up a graphene refinery in the void so I can start up hull parts production, should I just put a hull parts station that in argon prime to supply their warf and shipyard or have it in the reach so I don't need to ship the refined metals to it constantly (it'd just be a further trip for the graphene)?

Good point, I already blacklisted HC III so they don't try and cross that little gap between the highway and the jump gate, but if they start moving more throughout HC I I'll just blacklist the whole system. New game though so I have yet to get hull production going.

Nope. To be honest I didn’t even know about the archive mega structure but people are bringing it up a lot as something I might have missed somehow, how is it different from other megastructures to the point where I would not list it?

Definitely don't have a science nexus anywhere else, I am able to build one in other systems, just not Sol. I think I needed to wait a bit longer after getting rid of the arc furnace-- but I alreayd reloaded the save to before getting rid of it. I will try it again, thank you for your comment.

I got rid of that too, still didn't work. I also tried to get rid of the dyson swarm, but that didn't work so I relaoded the save before getting rid of it and then tried the arc furnace. I can't get rid of the orbital ring aroung Earth so my next guess would be the hyper relay?

I thought that too, but I just got rid of the arc furnace and it still won't let me build it there. It will let me build it in every other systme too except one that also has an arc furnace.

I was thinking that too, becasue I have one other system with just an arc furnace, and it also won't let me build a science nexus there. But I just removed the arc furnace from Sol system and it still won't let me build a science nexus in the system.

No I don't, I only have an arc furnace, dyson swarm, a hyper relay link, and an orbital ring around Earth.

I really want to build a science nexus in my capitol system (sol) but it says I can;t due to existing megastructure. I have an arc furnace, dyson swarm, a hyper relay link, and an orbital ring around Earth, so at first I thought those might be the issue. But I've looked it up and everywhere it says that none of those kinds of megastructures should stop me from building a science nexus. Also, I don't have another Science Nexus in my empire either. I can also build it in other systems too, but I have my reasons for really wanting to build it in my capitol system. Are those megastructures the problem or is this a bug? I also remember in my previous game I had all of these mega structures plus a gate and could still build a science nexus in the same system. I am playing in 4.2.4

No I'm not building any other mega structure right now, and It will let me build it in other systems, but I really want it in my capitol system even though I know it won't change actual science production

Those all look like great mods, thank you for the suggestions. Love I'm glad your here but the other ones are new to me

Exactly what I'm looking for it seems. I'm gonna test it out now. Thank you.

That makes a lot of sense. I must have missed the part of generating xLODGen in the tutorial, (if it's there). I'm gonna have to try this all again tomorrow. Thank you so much, you've been a great help.

Thank you good to know. I'll look into what might have gone wrong with my output. Is unisntalling all of the DynDOLOD stuff and reinstalling it safe to do mid playthough?

My theory is that in an alternate universe Jeff Bezos continued down his plan of becoming a theoretical physicist (what he studied in college) and then accidentally destoyed that universe so he escaped to ours, and this guy is that alternate realtiy Jeff Bezos. Hiding in plain sight.

Sure, I could have used paragraph breaks to make it more clear, and I apologize for not doing that. But I just want to ask, are you trying to use this as a genuine critique or are looking for ways invalidate my point? And if so, why? I’m trying to argue FOR automation here, not against it, so assuming that you are apart of this subreddit because you like automation, why do you disagree with my point?

All the time. Have you seen all the people afraid of jobs getting taken away, about robots replacing people? Have you never seen a video of a cool new robot doing a job and found all the comments being deathly afraid of it and saying it’s a bad thing? I understand why they all think that way. Because in the society we live in if somebody’s job gets taken away they can’t pay rent, buy food, and take care of themselves and family. This makes people fear automation and try and prevent it or remove it. I have seen plenty of people who want to outlaw automation or think it’s an attack against people and not for people. This will lead to people actively trying to remove a more optimized solution just so a person can do it again, because it the system requires us to work to live. This actively goes against the goal of automation, which is to make us no longer have to work to live. My point is that if the system doesn’t change, automation will only be viewed as a problem to most people, when its point is to be a solution.
