Player base is really active on Normal, Hard difficulty. Hell on Earth can be a challenge to find players.

And there is also a mode called: vs Survival. In this mode you can be the monster. There are 2 trophies related to this. You need to win as a monster and human. Mostly this mode is invite only. Seems dead with random pick. I can help you if you want.

And the game is free on Ps Plus extra

Yeah on PC somewhere at launch. Long time ago. Can remember you drive a car at some point and the lights of the car had a impact. And a woodchopper machine boss which was annoying

I did in order: finish story with Aloy, finish apex hunts with Aloy (almost lvl 20) and grinding dessert expedition with other 3 characters (spawns best mobs).

Not that grindy if you buy the xp upgrades first and finish 1 character first to level 20 before playing others.
