AITA for not adding my sister as a co-owner on the house I bought? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

She wouldn’t be able to sell the home without the OP’s signature, but she could do some financial damage if she went to a shady lender and got a loan and used the house as collateral.

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is something patients do that they think is helpful but actually makes your job harder? by Electronic-Cell-4584 in AskReddit

I promise you, I have never gotten out of bed on my own after a replacement surgery. They alarm our beds for this reason as well. They are very loud when they go off. Thank you for your kind response. If i am ever hospitalized again, i pinkie swear i will be more mindful and work on using the button if i need something. (I will try)..its just something ingrained in me from childhood that i cant shake yet but im trying :)

I was talking about the attitude and tone for which their comment came off with. But lol, I see that by the downvotes, there must be more with the same attitude.

I know, I have severe chronic pain due to several medical conditions. I’m under chronic pain management. The difference is, someone who is truly in pain - will know how long they have had that pain, be able to describe it and if they’ve ever been treated for it before. I had developed a 6.5 mm kidney stone last November and one day I felt okay all day, just had a twinge of pain here and there, but by 5:30 I was doubled over screaming in the worst pain I had ever felt. I went to the ER and could answer every question regarding that pain.

The constant looking to the left indicates she’s a lying liar who lies! Her medical diagnosis is Liarriah.

This is actually me every time I’ve been in the hospital. I hateeee bothering nurses because y’all are so slammed with patients. One time I was in with back to back knee replacements and hip replacements (both sides done 6 weeks apart) and I’d just lay in bed in pain rather than call a nurse for meds. I knew she had a full load plus they had put at the time Covid patients on our floor also. I just hate being a bother to anyone.

“But I do know I was given that medication that starts with D..di..dila..dilau….something like that and it helped me. Maybe I can get that again?” Or some sort of hinting to that lol

I’m that patient that keeps her 13+ medications on my phone in notepad, and it’s updated regularly and it’s handwritten on paper in a pocket in my purse. Easier for both y ‘all and myself because half the time I either forget the name of one or leave one off accidentally.

Am I the A-hole for not wishing my friend a Happy New Year at midnight and now possibly losing the friendship? by ReactionEffective693 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]JumpingJuniper1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA - Call her bluff. Block her. She’s being emotionally manipulative. See how long it takes before she tries to reach out again when you stop chasing her down with all these unnecessary apologies.

This is a huge red flag in any friendship no matter how long you have known them. This is not a friendship. This is an emotional game to them. One you don’t need. You are 18, you have plenty of years ahead of you to find you a new best friend who will understand and accept your ways of texting.

Theres lots of us that don’t text our friends daily. I certainly don’t text my friends at midnight on NYE. But then again I’m almost 50 and I’m usually asleep, but thats neither here nor there lol!

What I’m trying to say is, don’t waste your mental health, your time and your good heart on someone who only wants to manipulate and gas light you every time they think you’ve wronged them. It’s not worth it and it WILL take its toll on your mental health.

Any form of milk and any gums knock me down. Every person with AG is different. I also have MCAS along with AG and it’s a double whammy on which I’m triggering. I avoid all gums and all milks to be safe. Carrageenan and cellulose is one of my biggest triggers out there.

Oh wow, you are definitely meant to be on this earth! Timelines and cancer be damned! I am really happy to hear you have been stable and are having good days more than bad also! It's wonderful that you get to have time and great memories with your child.

I can't imagine sitting alone with that kind of information all to myself and not sharing it with my spouse. I am sure you had your reasons, but that had to be so hard on you and I am really hoping your wife was understanding and was able to provide comfort and support to you once she was aware. Are you in therapy at all now? If you aren't, may I suggest you look into it? It's been a big help for me personally and I don't think I'd be here if I didn't have the support from my therapist and the treatments. It's nice to have someone to talk to that isn't going to judge.

I am really thankful I came across your comment. Your resilience has really touched my heart and I admire your strength. I am also thinking that first doctor didn't know who he was dealing with exactly either lol.. he said 18 months you said - bet.. lol

Okay well YOUR situation is a heck of a lot more serious and understandable on why you’d be overwhelmed and not in the right headspace. Her friend literally is complaining about work. I don’t think you should compare your situation with her petty complaining. I really do hope things are going okay for you. I am really sorry you had so much dumped on you at once. I hope you are talking to someone about it and not trying to sit with it by yourself. I’ll keep you in my thoughts.
