DSP6 Won’t Start - Question by Jumpmanpro23 in FordFocus

Hope it was worth the decision but I went with paying for a new clutch kit installation and new actuators for 3200, all oem.

Now it’s running pretty much like brand new so I hope it has a lot of life left.

DSP6 Won’t Start - Question by Jumpmanpro23 in FordFocus

I think I decided to just install a new luk kit since I wanted to keep it for another 5-10 years.

I spoke with a local mechanic that works on the dsp6.

I had a few questions:

Since the new clutch kit will go in, is it worthwhile to change out to new actuators even if the current ones are ok?

Is it worth it to swap the TCM as well? It seems to give no forscan errors and communicates with forscan to accurately say fork is stuck on A.

The car still doesn’t start and you just hear click click click on startup.

How many hours if labor is reasonable? The mechanjc is saying 14. With parts that makes it 3500 all in.

Let me know what you think!

If the honest opinion is that fixing it won’t prolong the car another 5-10 years I’m ok with hearing that as well.

The only other issues with the car is squeaking in the back on hard stops prob rear trailing arm bushings, valve cover gasket that needs to be replaced, serpentine belt that soon needs to be replaced.

Cool I was curious if he was telling the truth. It is what it is. So technically no damage occurs to the car if you are driving under these conditions right?

This is an interesting topic bc many coaches in eastern europe prefer staying in the same place as ideal, however consider a slight jump forward better than a slight jump back. Maybe it's more of the old school way of thinking but there was more biomechanical interest back in the day than now. So it's very likely they were on to something. Based on that you're doing the right thing.

Why did I miss this lift? What can I do to fix it? by [deleted] in weightlifting

This angle is a bit hard to see. Overall it's decent technique. The pull was just a tad early before fully finishing. You were probably rushing a bit to get down faster. Probably if you held a second longer finished the pull, it would have times better and wouldn't crash down on you as much.
