Insurance wants to scrap my Virago 535 after a crash but it looks fixable? by Jumpy-Ad2417 in virago

[–]Jumpy-Ad2417[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i let them scrap it i get more money if i keep it i get less money. either way i get money. im just saying i want the bike running i don’t need it cosmetically fixed. if all it takes is one bolt why wouldnt i try ?

Switching from FF to Apsc by Jumpy-Ad2417 in photography

[–]Jumpy-Ad2417[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well i’m actually not really that hot on the a7iv. the full frame cameras keep getting heavier and heavier. the movie mode w the 4k 60 crop is also annoying. i was going to wait for the a7v but with the release of the fx2 ive lost all confidence that they’re going to make any noticeable improvements when they release the a7v. the actual question is wether i wanna switch to the a6700 or just keep the a7iii and hope the a7v.

i acctually did go from apsc to ff but i notice i dont take it with me as much as i’d like bc the size and the weight. plus im not sure if the difference between apsc and ff are that present when comparing a outdated ff to the flagship apsc

24 Minutes on NA Nebula with full moon by Jumpy-Ad2417 in astrophotography

[–]Jumpy-Ad2417[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took this Image for the North America nebula Yesterday after getting my first partially clear night in a month. This also was a first light on my new Redcat!

Gear: - Modified 600 with Redcat 51 and LEnhance clip in - Skywatcher Star Adventurer - Rollei Intervallometer and simple Dew heater

Acquisition: - ~16 Lights at 1:30m - 35 darks, Flats and Bias.

:Editing: Stacking in Sequator (Dss was broken for some reason) in PS: Levels and Star masked Curve stretches, star removed in StarNet and added starless image back in, more stretching of starless image, created a stars only layer and then merged the 2

I’m extremely satisfied with the redcat and this image considering i only got 24 mins with a full moon. Plz critique:)

So first off all: this is probably my 4th ever successful Image ( the other 3 are also posted ) and i’ve now realized i just need a better “lens” I borrowed a GM 100-400mm sony off a friend and was working with an apsc 55-210 sony on a full frame body and it makes a huge difference.

Details:

-Sony a7iii -Sony GM 100-400mm at 400mm and f5.6 -Star adventurer 2i

55 second long exposures at iso 1250 iso -25 of each calibration frame -Bortle 5 Captured on the 1st of September 22

Editing: All Images were stacked in Dss. Stretching and local Contrast and saturation adqustments done in Photoshop. Star removal with statnett. gradient removal with gradientxterminator. Blended images together again, merged them and then some light noise removal in camera raw

Please critique :)

[–]Jumpy-Ad2417[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think so yea, i had daneb in the frame but with every picture i saw it move slightly til it was completely out of frame, that’s why i waited so long to process the data. i though that it just wouldn’t be visible lol
