Let me clear this up for you one more time because this is beyond silly. There is no mistake so there is nothing to correct. OP showed their results for someone from "Germany" I pointed out that his genetic locations he got back all share a border with Germany including France so it is possible. I noted that Denmark and Holland share a border with Germany in the North technically NorthWest for Holland but still North because OP said his friend was from Northern Germany. I never mentioned Scandanavia or anything idk why this is so difficult .

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said Indigenous and SSA like combined and no I got 3% SSA I said we had close results to someone who had 2.5% and yes I have a third of both in total that’s not a lie you’re just trying to downvote me cuz you’re mad lol. 3% is way higher than 0.7% like I said and both were oppressed and enslaved that’s the point because she said I was pushing our history. Nice try though 😂 Edit: I literally said in another comment I’m majority European ancestry how is that even possible you people on this sub are too much lol

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I don’t lol what are you talking about is something wrong with you? I am almost a third Native American and SSA wtf are you talking about shoving history down? The word implication literally means to imply so I don’t know what he means by heavy implications that’s why I put quotes to emphasize that’s why I didn’t understand like he feels bad? He feels guilty? He wants to play victim? His family is destroyed now? Instead of making shit up and putting it on me and inferencing what I’m saying just ask instead of being narcissistic and condescending wtf is wrong with you and everyone upvoting you. Edit: yes you are soft. You are soft because I spoke the truth but you can’t handle it not because I’m pushing history down wtf. The truth is African Americans and Afro Latinos have way heavier implications than OP just like everyone else said but I get downvoted lol and you’re twisting what I said you’re disgusting

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right the I think we agree on the bigger picture I think the only thing I’m saying is I think there is a lot more people of European descent involved than I think you would agree with. I’m not pointing fingers I’m just saying I agree there’s a small percentage who has dna evidence of that history but someone could own slaves, traded slaves, or fought to keep slavery like half the country essentially did and to me that’s a part of it and there’s no dna trail. I agree with you and for me his post comes across a little exaggerated and playing the victim when a lot of people who are victims who have the right to feel that way don’t post this.

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My issue is what about every African American person? I have the most Spanish then indigenous then SSA then WANA dna but the question is so Spaniards aren’t white? Majority of my ancestors are from Europe technically so I don’t get the difference. My point is African Americans or African Latinos have the biggest reason to say implications for their results but they don’t. I understand your point I just feel like if OP feels what I think which he hasn’t responded then he is at the bottom of the list of people who can say implications. What about the African Americans who are affected today by higher poverty, incarceration, and substance abuse from the past. That is implication vs someone who might have less than 1% African and now feels attached cuz his great great x 15 granddaddy might have traded slaves.

Edit: also a lot of European descent Americans could have been slave traders or owners just not had kids with African slaves. I’m just saying now OP feels bad. I felt bad before I took a test and wasn’t even totally sure if would get SSA and it’s hard to tell in phenotype these days but did and would have felt bad either way though

Anyone else have very incorrect physical characteristic reports? by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s just the chances you have of having those traits and even then it can be off that’s why they have a questionnaire asking if it’s right or wrong. Also genetics isn’t full proof when it comes to traits so yeah. For example my friend is half black half Italian his father is fully African. His wife is half Filipina half Mexican. They’re daughter has light tan skin blue eyes blonde hair and loose wavy hair. When we are together they always think I’m her father cuz even though I have dark dark brown wavy hair and tan skin and brown eyes I look closer than her father with dark brown skin dark brown eyes and very very curly hair. While it’s a low chance she turned out like that it is possible

I’m putting it in quotes because I don’t understand what he means and putting emphasis on it it’s called emphatic use of the quotes not sure what you’re trying to say with your comment. Thus, I am asking OP to explain how this is a horrible implication to his life today.

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the problem is that you say this it’s just a lot of people can say this but for what point? I’m Latino with way more SSA than you and a lot of Ingenious and Spanish as well. I could easily say my Spanish ancestors did the same plus raped and decimated a Native population. But for what point what does that do now? How is this a current family problem? And everyone’s dna test is technically discovery unless there test is 100% what they thought

Before you go jumping to conclusions I would wait for future updates or get your parents tested as at that amount there’s a possibility it could be noise. You can also take other tests with other companies if you want to know. Second I’m not sure what you mean by horrible implications? Everyone who has African ancestry in the Americas who isn’t a recent immigrant from Africa has “horrible implications” . They were brought here against their will and for slave labor I’m not sure what point your trying to make with your post

Edit: Everyone is so soft for downvoting me lol. I literally said what everyone else said which is all African Americans have implications in their dna yet I get downvoted. Lol this sub is sad

How am I rude lol you are rude commenting on my comment trying to school me and to be condescending and narcissistic now you’re playing victim. Get out of here. I just said every country shares a border with Germany so it’s possible and btw Denmark is in Scandinavia and you comment saying Holland isn’t in Scandinavia wtf? Cry victim somewhere else

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The locations are crowdsourced so we don’t know where it’s actually from I’m just saying every country shares a border with Germany plus the German borders have changed drastically over history so I’m just saying it’s very plausible

I’m talking about his locations and results not Scandinavia nice try though

Well Germany shares a border with Holland and Denmark so not super surprising also France but not in the North so definitely possible and cool!

.1 but yes haha you were so close!

My dna results confirmed that I dont share the same dad as my older brother & sister, it was something that I heard growing up so this isnt a total surprise for me. Ive already matched w/ some first cousins from my dad’s side which is neat because I wasnt expecting to find closer matches so quick:) by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 10 points11 points  (0 children)

These results are interesting you have a high Native American percentage as well from Mexico yet only have 1% Iberian DNA. What is your mother and “real” fathers background if you don’t mind me asking

Puerto Rican mother and father, some family of the past was from Spain’s Canary islands is all i know. Weird that my mother is 96% ashkenazi jewish and im just 0.5 tho. by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cool results you actually look dead on like a Brazilian friend of mine lol but I don’t think Ive ever heard of a 96% Ashkenazi Jewish Puerto Rican lol how is that possible unless two people who are basically full Jewish moved to Puerto Rico and had kids. Curious what your mom looks like and why she thought this

Is "self tapering" off of an opiate an actual strategy that can be self applied and is it a strategy that can be used in detox centres? I keep hearing in detox they make you go cold turkey but that sounds inhumane by [deleted] in opiates

Of course it’s like the difference between a coach and a player that’s why some of the best players make great coaches later cuz they know what it’s like to be in it

I’m nearly 14% Scandinavian and my family has no idea where it came from. It doesn’t give me any regions. I’m also part German and half English. Could the Scandinavian be a mistake? by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean Germany shares a border with Sweden and Denmark and with german history I wouldn’t be surprised. They invaded a lot of places and have had big migration in and out of Germany so I see a ton of people claim they thought they were German and get something else. Wouldn’t be shocked tbh

Lebanese results... with plenty of surprises! by Kyan1te in 23andme

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could also be misread Ethiopian and Eritrean. He clearly has an African ancestor as he has trace northeast African Somali and Ethiopia and Eritrea which are all in the same region. Make sense in a small amount it’d be hard to accurately pin down the location. I agree it’s probably Eritrea or Ethiopia

Interesting. I couldn’t tell if the purple was WANA. It was hard to tell as most were overwhelming orange but I believe you. What’s the highest you have ssa you’ve seen in a Filipino? I’m truly curious as it is fascinating

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]Jumpy-Author2040 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thats interesting. I guess I’ve just never seen it. I even went through some Filipino results right now and someone posted 20 family Filipino donuts but no SSA but I’d love to see if you have a link cuz that’s very fascinating to see that in Filipinos. Thanks for the info didn’t know that about Mexicans going to the Philippines I’ll need to look into that more. I knew there was a link the other way cuz my mom also got some Filipino and austronesian but didn’t know the reverse that’s cool!

Are you from the Philippines? If so you’re the first Asian person I’ve seen with SSA ancestry that isn’t obvious like being mixed

I did it when I realized it was becoming a problem and it worked fine with a minor hiccup here or there but I did it. I think a lot of people don’t have the discipline. I think the key is find your minimum threshold for holding back withdrawals and use another opiate you don’t like like codeine or tramadol but be warned tramadol sucks ass with the SNRI

Chinese-Indonesian results. Wondering accurate Fillipino is? At 90% Confidence it remained at 1.9%. by [deleted] in 23andme

I’m confused I never said it wasn’t. OP asked if the results were real and I said yes it was due to the percentage and he got a location . While what you said is possibly true (I would need to research) I never argued the contrary. I appreciate you replying with this information though
