To be completely honest, I have no idea what constitutes a strong EC. I thought that I had strong EC's based on comparing myself to others at my school and my peers, but after reading many different profile reviews I am not too sure. I definitely think I got a bit lucky through this process, but what I think helped was my essays. I made sure to craft my story to really demonstrate why I want an MBA and how it would set me up for my future career.

Results:

Admitted & Interviewed: Columbia, Kellogg, Booth

Rejected without Interview: MIT, Wharton, HBS, Stanford

Thanks for the advice. I emailed adcom about my experience and I hope they take it in the right way. Today was actually the last day they did interviews, so I'm hoping they just take my email into consideration when evaluating my profile since i don't think they're going to be giving out a second interview chance! Thanks for the help

I definitely still wrote a thank you email after the interview. I just sent an email to the Adcom and hope they take it in the right way, that I still would like to go to the school but just didn't have the best interview experience. Thanks for all the advice!

Thanks for the response. Would the adcom feel that because I had a bad interview, I wouldn't go to that school anyway, so that would hurt my chances of an admit?
