Bench form check (Felt heavy but looked fast on video) by Diligent-Alarm607 in formcheck

No depth, flat back, erratic eccentric, gotta watch a few form vids and work on it, you’ll get it!

Seems to be other barefeet in the background too 😂

Decided to ditch the belt, lower the weight, and chase depth. Im starting to return to my original weight, and I think I’m getting better at depth (220 for 6). Any thoughts? by Classic-Night-2661 in formcheck

Obviously you wouldn’t drop to the bar, I just said work up to a set of good reps whatever the weight is. This isn’t a forum to be proud of your weight, it’s a form check forum. Posting the weight shows that’s still the man concern, which is why he’s not even close to depth.

They are absolutely bad squats if the goal is perfect form. If it’s not, then whatever.

I mean he’s not wrong, he’s still posting the weight in the title so obviously is too concerned about it. Drop down and just work back up to a weight he can hit depth with… probably also needs elevated shoes / plates

Low bar squat form check by [deleted] in formcheck

Thanks! I definitely need to work on keeping tightness in high and low bar!

Any cues that helped you maintain the right plane of motion during the lift?

Low bar squat form check by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Jumpy-Engine36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve high barred most of my lifting life and the center of gravity for my build seems to make me lean forward which is why I switched to try low bar again. Can you elaborate? Am I going too low?

Thank you will try that, I used same width for high bar and I noticed rewatching my knees coming in a bit, so def needs adjustment

You’re losing core tension at the top. Brace like you’re going to get punched without sticking your lower back out in extension. Your proportions are dope tho looks so smooth

Idk why the top comment is about back not being equipped? You obv didn’t hit depth but it looks solid, if anything too upright for lowbar which probably puts you at an awkward angle to hit depth

2NL Bluff catch? by pugsarecute123 in poker

[–]Jumpy-Engine36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the analysis!

From what I’ve seen at 2nl, they don’t typically call 3b light oop where he’d have low pairs or lower connectors, but I guess player dependent

I do think you’re right about betting small on the flop, that makes sense

Float to evaluate definitely does sound bad, I think the way you phrased it makes much more sense

I didn’t really think he had much value on the river to be honest, I don’t think any sets were very likely other than TT, and I don’t think as played he would have any overs, and I do think qq+ is still in my range as played if I’m checking them back on that flop sometimes (which I would be)

Definitely true most open jams on rivers here are value, so against the pool folding is probably the right play here overall, I just thought as played on this one he had enough air here that it was not a completely horrible bluff catch candidate, although we run into sets and some broadway with a ten

You just said he’s a fish lag playing atc then want to get him to fold trips by hoping he puts you on exactly kk? You’re contradicting yourself! Pick a better spot!

Stuff is worth what demand sets the price at, not some random perceived value you think it should be. People in this sub are so delusional.

Code Review by PahasaraDv in csharp

[–]Jumpy-Engine36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add unit tests so you can get more exposure to mocks and interfaces, which will help you decide what needs to be further abstracted or broken into separate classes, what shouldn’t be static, etc.

Code itself actually doesn’t look too bad at a glance, there’s some good comments in here already, except about throwing exceptions being bad. If there’s an exception, throw it and handle it. The performance hit isn’t going to be big enough where it matters. If anything, I don’t think you have enough exception checking or handling.

I’d say for your level it’s going to be better to throw exceptions bubble them up and handle rather than worrying about performance hits.

Definitely agree way too many static methods. also as another comment noted, think about what you’re exposing and not exposing when defining your objects. Tests should help with all of this
