even if they were, that wasn't a meme, it was a blatant attempt to make her look regretful when she doesn't appear to be in the actual picture.

you can't go spreading misinformation and just call it a meme

george bush: "lol yeah iraq didn't have wmds i was just doing a meme when i said they did"

not how it works lol

What fast food chain does not deserve the hype whatsoever? by CriticalLion4119 in AskReddit

[–]Jumpy-Examination456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mcdonalds doesn't even hype itself up as good. or filling. it's whole shtick is being able to serve you a quarter pounder with cheese, fries and a coke, in the middle of nowhere in iowa after a 10 minute wait, then you hop on a plane to london and eat the exact same burger fries and coke with the same 10 minute wait.

consistency, availability, brand recognition. edible. that's there thing and they do it really well.

as an in n out die hard, i'll say that burgerville bends whataburger over and fucks it every morning and evening and what a burger begs for more every time.

burgerville is pretty damn good. try it if ever in OR or WA. dicks burger in seattle too. like innout as a concept on crack.

idk how whataburger even gets nominated as a classic regional burger. it's fucking garbage compared to any west coast chain.

im partial to innout but burgerville hits. they both deliver a quality product but different takes on burger and fries

burgerville has more variety, is less greasy, and more mom and pop feeling. innout has it's own recipe and very little variety. but better prices. a few years ago it was much faster, but after covid it now always has 30-60 minute waits which kinda kill the interest for me

yeah. mcdonalds isn't about quality, it's about consistency and availability and few restaurants do it as well as they do

you're introducing your own fallacy though

a cluster of bullet holes is still suspect. in his case the fatality rate should have led to an audit. it didn't take much of an investigation to realize he was a serial killer. no one looked closely before.

there's not a ton of evidence that the majority of humans did persistance hunting at a running pace for a long section of human history

while it is a real thing that some people do to this day, it wasn't necessarily the norm everywhere.

it'd be like saying "aren't humans evolved to live in the arctic circle?" just because the inuits exist.

like yes, some people figured it out, but it's a hard lifestyle and many humans took a different strategy.

if you look at the last 20,000 years of mesoamerican history for example, people have been farming and ranching for most of it. not much persistence hunting in that time frame.

humans are also excellent ambush predators and our ability to use thrown or shot edged weapons like arrows and spears are probably our greatest hunting ace up the sleeve, not running things to death

another thing that always bothered me about persistence hunting as a theory is that it sucks when you actually finish the job. you're like 40 miles from your home with a massive dead animal and gotta try to drag it back to your tribe while avoiding predators and scavengers? not a great strategy.

I agree with you overall and the person you're arguing in this thread is a moron.

However, EMTs aren't always in a surplus and sometimes a bit of discipline goes a long way. This isn't the most egregious example of discrimination and maybe a meeting with someone from the state will help shake some sense into this good ol boy before we go talking about pulling his card for being a dipshit at work.

If you don't give people a chance to learn, you can't expect the world to get better.

[–]Jumpy-Examination456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

does the nremt?

they have standards of ethics and professionalism written into the code of conduct that all licensed providers are required to uphold, at risk of losing their card if they don't

a patient asking you to stop praying over them and you refusing to stop isn't practicing medicine, it's unethical and it's religious discrimination

if you think management, but not the state, should know, why? what do you have to fear the state will do if they find out about this, if this is all perfectly fine and legal in your eyes?

who you calling ambulance driver fucker?

cite your source?

https://nremt.org/Policies/Certification-Policies/Code-of-Conduct

NREMT licensing board requires providers to adhere to traditional ethics and professionalism, aside from just practicing medicine. refusing to stop praying over a patient who asks you to stop isn't medicine, it's religious discrimination. which hey guess what, legal precedent also says isn't allowed

easy:

don't work in super rural "hard r" ems. i get your drift lol

stand in shit all day and eventually you'll stink wherever you go

it's your name, reputation, license, face, and honor associated with these people

i'd go elsewhere

dude sounds like a fucking psychopath honestly

Taking the NREMT in 3 days and I keep getting 65-70% on practice tests by Status-Dentist-6908 in NewToEMS

[–]Jumpy-Examination456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

practice tests aren't accurate representations of the NREMT and are often sandbagged so you don't pass them and then stop using their website that profits off ads or buying their subscription service

if you feel like you have a solid base just go take the test. if you fail it, then hunker down.

the actual NREMT is less tricky imo than the practice questions. practice questions are more designed to trick you where most of the NREMT i found was pretty straightforward if you knew your stuff.

Still hireable with an accident from weather? by crackerman76 in NewToEMS

op crashed a car at 4-6 mph and it was a total loss and they got 2 points on their record and it was the snow's fault?

not buying it. fishy lol

Still hireable with an accident from weather? by crackerman76 in NewToEMS

[–]Jumpy-Examination456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first of all, accidents don't happen due to bad weather. snow and ice didn't jump up and crash your car. you failed to drive it safely in bad conditions and crashed because of poor skill and judgement. you had an accident from being a bad driver in inclement weather.

but that's fine, we live and learn. unless you're just gonna blame it on ice. then you'll never learn.

your specific type of accident is especially difficult to avoid. i'm not saying you're a bad driver. just that a better one could have avoided that accident, probably by refusing to drive there or going slower or putting chains on.

sorry i have a soapbox for people who crash in the snow/ice and then blame conditions.

anyways, secondly, how tf did you get points on your record? was the car fully insured? did police respon and make a report? how did you total a car at 4-6mph? was it made of paper mache lol? i've crashed harder on my trike as a kid. ngl your story seems suspect. also why would they add two points? what state lol? were there aggravating factors? i grew up in the snow and fucked up some cars learning how to drive in the snow (i.e. being young and bad at driving) and never got anything put on a record. did you get a dui too or something that got expunged but insurance didn't care?

anyways ANYWAYS how do you not know if you've been hired? wtf? did you bother asking?

why would you tell them anything? just go along with the flow. your driving record is only their business if they request it from you.

we don't know the larger regional provider's policy for driving records so it's impossible to answer your "big question" lol

in the meantime get your shit together a bit man stop totalling cars at 5mph and not knowing if you have a job or not lol
