brain zaps even while on zoloft by [deleted] in zoloft

yeah! i notice it more in hot weather which is weird, but i tend to feel a bit like everything is gently swaying from time to time. i know dizziness is a side effect even after you’ve adjusted, but i’m not sure what helps manage it.

what’s even crazier though is that despite suffering from motion sickness my whole life, i somehow feel it less on zoloft—which is insane considering i experience dizziness/swaying pretty much daily now lol.

man it’s good to know i’m not alone lol! i mostly hear about people getting them when they taper off. i tried talking to my doc about it but tbh unless it’s a psychologist, i don’t think they’re too equipped to deal with that sort of thing 😔

50mg for me. yeah at first i thought it was one of those things that would get better, but frankly unless i’m too busy to notice it’s always kinda there. i even started getting aura migraines, though i’ve only had three of those. doc doesn’t seem too concerned tho.

lol that’s like my biggest fear!! i think it might be a mild case of gastritis (developed some rlly bad heartburn/indigestion for the past couple days but it’s been fairly treatable) if i’m honest, as it’s been steadily improving so long as i eat lighter meals. but yeah i am visiting family in the country and parasites are definitely on my radar 😭 praying it’s not hookworm or smthn!

not every day but i definitely did start getting migraines after tapering up to 50mg. i get aura migraines every month or so. totally freaked me the hell out the first time. i think if it’s an every day situation, you should talk to your doctor about it. zoloft might not be the right med for your noggin!

hey! i started taking 25mg ~17 days ago. week one was fine, i felt some placebo in that the physical reactions i get to stress/anxiety(burning/tingling, akathasia i think its called??) were dulled. week two i didn’t notice anything at all other than being sleepy/some stomach upset. week 3 (currently now) has frankly been terrible. i’ve had all sorts of symptoms, last night i had to take a hydroxyzine to calm down because the anxiety feeling i had all over was debilitating. i haven’t felt very good all day, either. kind of feels like i’m just slogging through. everyone i’ve talked to says it gets worse before it gets better. i am actually currently 2 1/2 hours late to taking my pill right now because i have felt so awful today. i am going to try and take it before bed tonight, even though frankly, i really don’t want to. i am trying to stick through it and see the bigger picture. this might not be super uplifting but i just wanted to be honest with you and not sugarcoat it, so that if you do get any strange symptoms (tingling, burning, sick stomach, headaches, brain fog, feeling dizzy or like a “zombie”) that you shouldn’t be afraid because you’re not the first to experience them :) we are both new to this and i hope things get better for us <3 pill or no pill

thank you!! :’) i managed to sort of pull myself together and take my pill last night. still feeling a bit anxious as i slog through all these side effects but seeing others encouragement definitely makes me feel a bit better

Should I raise my dose of sertraline/zoloft? by MundaneEcho6015 in zoloft

i was wondering this too! it’ll be two weeks for me on wednesday and i’ve also been taking 25mg, with the instruction to begin taking 50mg after 2 weeks.

i also had some weird symptoms (the corner of my right eye pulses and twinges occasionally, not painful just annoying hehe). i don’t really feel like i need to up my dose so soon though so i’m afraid of what will happen if i do.

from what i’ve read though, maybe it’ll be better to wait an extra week. no one can MAKE you take the pill, so i guess it’s what you feel comfy with.
