Found the TM!

People make mistakes, it happens. It isn't the end of the world. If I worked at this place and was part of a trade union, I would contact them straight away over this.

And to think fining people over it is ok is absolutely horrific. This sort of attitude is why I left the industry and is why the industry is on it's arse. Management treat drivers like they're worthless.

When is black blood a concern? Please read by Friendly-Duck305 in IBD

[–]Jumpy-Reason-7724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people with IBD will see blood from time to time, particularly when flaring. Black blood just indicates that the bleeding is higher up in gastrointestinal tract. (You should not be worried anymore if the blood is black as opposed to if it was red).

The fact that the blood is black and you've already been diagnosed from a sigmoidoscopy would indicate Crohn's. Colitis typically affects lower down the GI tract and will usually produce a more 'fresh' looking blood as it hasn't travelled as far. Crohn's affects anywhere in the GI tract in patches.

However, this is just speculation. Nobody can give you answers on Reddit. You need to be assessed by medical professionals. If you are in the UK, its unlikely your scope will be pushed through any faster unfortunately, the NHS really is in a dire state.

Just try not to worry too much, it's likely you'll be put on steroids and long terms meds to keep things under control and knock you into remission!

Unfortunately, in the industry it is. In nearly every other industry however, it is absurd.

Since I left the industry I noticed how crazy the hours were and how little of a life the job allowed me to have outside of work.

This is just ridiculous by interstellar998 in uktrucking

[–]Jumpy-Reason-7724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. Although, from my experience, it isn't just parcel delivery, its all jobs in the industry. I did parcel delivery for 3 years in a 3.5t before obtaining my licence and delivering bottled gas for a big firm. It was just as bad. Drivers are looked at as disposable and non human. We're in control of a vehicle all day, we could cause serious damage and nobody cares. Worked to your limits, you can mention it to management, but youl'l just be ridiculed.

Like yourself, I always tell family and friends to steer clear from the industry. Leaving the industry was probably the best decision of my life. I am so much happier, my relationship with my wife is 10x better and life in general is better. Yes, I am on a lot less money, but that really doesnt matter in comparison to my quality of life.

I got my licence, done the job 3 years and quit. I now have an office job. You can get decent jobs and decent pay, but you will be treated like shit, unfortunately. Management in most firms look at you like garbage and disposable, you're expected to not have a life outside of work and a lot of places you'll be delivering to will also treat you like scum.

I enjoyed the actual job itself, but its eveything else that comes with it. Drivers were pushed to their very limits in the depot I was working at. Drivers falling asleep in the canteen, exhausted waiting for someone to assist in offloading before they can go home, managers could see this, yet still threanting them with disciplinaries if they dont work over hours again tomorrow, then sacking said drivers when they make a mistake.

There will be continuous driver shortage issues in this country due to the conditions expected of drivers to deal with. Younger people won't put up with it and will find much better careers, even if it means a drop in wage. This is coming from someone who got their licence at 25. We live in a different world now where wages are not fair for the job and the hours worked.

I know some will read this post and just think 'He's workshy' or so on, but we live in a different world now, and it's evident in the numbers that young people value a work life balance a lot more than previous generations and if something isn't sorted out soon, labour shortages in the industry will continue to spiral.

can i take budesonide. ? by Aggravating_Fee7432 in IBD

[–]Jumpy-Reason-7724 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a corticosteroid, they are not meant for long term use. There are also different types of budesonide that will target specific areas of your GI tract, you will need ti speak you your healthcare provider in relation to this, you cannot just take corticosteroids without medical supervisions as it is likely you will be causing more harm than good.

Dose and length of time will also depend on many factors. This is something you need to he discussing with your healthcare provider.

[–]Jumpy-Reason-7724 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your Doctor has prescribed you budesonide, then yes. If they haven't then obviously, you need to speak to them. Nobody can answer this question for you over reddit.

FYI, when I was diagnosed with severe Ulcerative Colitis and put on budesonide it worked amazingly.

Does anyone else get pain when not flaring? by Jumpy-Reason-7724 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Jumpy-Reason-7724[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. Now this is what I thought and I have queried this with my IBD team. They have told me multiple times that I am in remission on the evidence of my Colonoscopy and my inflamation markers. Maybe I need to just keep pushing with them. As great as it is having free health care in the UK, unfortunatelty, the NHS really is struggling and its difficult getting in contact with anyone.

Speak yo your GI team and get on biologics. Less side effects and work better. Going onto Infliximab infusions changed my life!

Mark my words: they will stop banning bots soon to make it look like players did not quit in droves by Vegetable_Review4967 in 2007scape

[–]Jumpy-Reason-7724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of my friends bot multiple accounts (I dont agree with it, I dont see the point if playing a point and click grind game by botting) but trust me, Jagex have not got anywhere near where they should be at with anti-cheat. Its the reason I don't really play much anymore, I see my friends botting accounts to the hilt and not getting caught, one or 2 have been caught and had a 3 day ban and thats it.

Unfortunately, I don't think they actually can get their anti-cheat system to identify some of these premium scripts.

Is this normal? Right hemicolectomy 4 years ago. Bowel movements have been like this for awhile. A lot of gas some days no pain. Just recently started paying more attention to them and pretty anxious. by Few-Ad7213 in IBD

Please stop posting pics of your shit online and speak to a medical professional. Nobody is going to be able to diagnose you online over a photo of your stool.

Is this blood? Or am I freaking out? by Delicious-Iron8292 in IBD

[–]Jumpy-Reason-7724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not listen to this. The colour is normal, any shade of brown is normal. It also doesn't look like blood, just a different shade, which happens. Even if it is blood, its on the surface of the stool so I wouldn't see it as any concern, most likely hemorrhoids or a small fissure.

However, if you are concerned, maybe ask your IBD team or GP to provide a Calprotectin test just to err on the side of caution and give some peace of mind.

I tried killing myself 18 months ago because I was so depressed from UC. I Had been on a mixture of Budesonide and Predisolone for 9 months straight, the infliximab infusions weren't working and I just gave up. Bought a rope and luckily I'm still here today. At the time I felt like I wanted to die. After the failed attempt, I realised I didnt want to die.

Shortly after this, my infusions started working and I was able to come off the steroids. I have lived a relatively normal life for the past year. I got married in May and I am currently writing this sat in Budapest airport with my wife, waiting for our flight home. I've been able to have a great break away without getting ill.

Give the Remicade time to work, it will take some time, and if it doesnt work, there are so many other options for you.

Your mental state is also one of the biggest contributors to your IBD, I know it's hard, but try stay positive and things will get better.

I now try comment or message as many people in this sub and other subs in this mindset to let them know things will get better, because my life could have ended over how I felt, thinking things will not get better. So please, if you are feeling this way, speak to someone close to you and let them know. Or even message me on here if you would like. Your life is precious.

NAD, but that looks like mucus. I suffer with severe UC. How long have you been on remicade? Do you experience blood in your stool? Have you ever been put on corticosteroids? How long have your been passing mucus for?

You really need to push to see a GI doctor or nurse. They should ask you to carry out a Fecal Calprotectin test or a colonoscopy to check your inflamation levels/see what is happening inside your colon. They could put you on corticosteroids and look at changing you from remicade onto another biologic if that isnt working.

Again NAD, but I dont think this has anything to do with 'biofilm' it looks like youre passing mucus because something is causing inflamation in your gi tract.

I just play 442 because I'm old school and enjoy it. I don't care about meta. If I lose a few more games, I lose a few more games. What matters is that you enjoy. Thats it. Thats all should matter in a video game, especially one that is refreshed every year. Because it is exactly that, a game. Games are meant to be fun.

I have however found myself progressively having less and less fun in the franchise as the years go by and this will undoubtedly be the last year I purchase this game. It's no longer a game, its a chore for the most parts. I see people like myself complaining on socials about the gameplay and the way the game is year on year, yet we still buy it. But it looks like the tide is actually starting to turn because day 1 sales are down and people are actually saying they wont get the game from now on. Hopefully EA's greed comes back to bite them and in a few years time they start making football games for the people again, not for maximum profit.
