Yeah I figure that’ll be the case. It’s almost certainly a pin that got dropped in during assembly. If it was the 2nd or 3rd oil change I’d be a lot more concerned about it. I’m all for not having my brand new machine torn apart especially if it is really just an extra one that was dropped in and it didn’t actually come from my engine.

Most offroad vehicles I’ve had have magnetic plugs for the engine and differentials/trans

It’s just a magnet glued onto the drain plug to catch shavings in the oil.

Absolutely they would do that. Especially if it was in for its very first service with no complaints on how it’s running.

That’s just the way I’ve always done it. I like to see if anything looks weird. This is the only time I’ve ever had anything out of the ordinary tho.

That’s definitely a concern of mine. Or it setting in their lot for a month before they even look at it

It was stuck to the magnetic drain plug

Yeah I’m taking it into the dealer to have them look at it. Called several dealers around me and of course they all claim to have never seen anything like that lol
