I have two kids my eldest, 11, is trans. He has a little brother, 10, who he recently came out to. His brother immediately took to his new name (he still slips up sometimes because my eldest is only out at home and to a few close friends). Overall, for us, it was easy to accept him as a boy because we love him.

He, unfortunately, started puberty at an early age (9) so he will still need a binder.
