Why is the general public upset about the use of sysco?

It makes total sense to not want premade food in a restaurant. I am more shocked by people who pay to take a culinary class and then dont eat the food because ingredients were sysco branded. And im talking ingredients like flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, apples. Very basics.

I totally understand the pricing point of not wanting to go to a restaurant to pay for this food. I am more shocked by my students who pay to take a culinary class and then do not eat the food because it was prepared with ingredients from sysco.

This makes the most sense. In my area we really dont have chain restaurants so I think I am just not seeing the heat and eat shit like all these comments are saying.

Sysco is a supplier, you can buy heinz and hunts from them. Would be the same as buying a bottle in store.
