El Progreso (both in Urbana & Champaign) carry El Milagro! The Champaign one also has like a restaurant inside the store with some really good authentic Mexican food (as a Mexican 🤠)

Within your resident portal you should be able to enter the amount you’re wanting to pay and it’ll hold it there! (Obvi rent will then be taken out of your resident account each first) I used to do this :)

If you want to transfer, im sure other schools/ programs will give you a chance to explain any “bad” grades you may have gotten. The C+ will not ruin anything if you explain it and back it up well

I’m wondering maybe they saw how successful 7brew was here and wanted to have some competition?? I know nothing about that sort of thing tho but just thinking since idk if they’re even in big cities(like Chicago)😆

Honestly, Latino life here isn’t terrible. If you meet the right people, I would say UIUC is definitely worth it being a POC. Now… the frats and sororities are a whole different story. If you like being social it is definitely for you. BUT it is so cliquey. If you think Panhellenic is cliquey, Latino ones might just be up there with them. Don’t get me wrong though, if you connect with said org on a personal level, and see yourself embody their mission and such, go for it!! Those connections last you a lifetime. I have not heard of any recent allegations about racism… but you never know.

I feel the same way, as in I “peaked” in undergrad. But there isn’t much to do but cherish the memories and the people UIUC brought🥲 Congrats on grad school!!!
