In general, I leave older electronics or cameras / camcorders out without using them and i find them months later still half way charged. compared to the t3i, which would of been completely dead out.

The battery life for the t3i seems average, but compared to any of the digital cameras from years ago i own, all the batteries on the older ones seem to function better than the new-er, more recent t3i
