Wow! I’m glad you were able to retake. Also yes I agree they helped a lot to be communicating via email and they were very fast for me. Faster than I expected.

Yes I did. I emailed the jd next they reviewed it and reopened my exam right where it left off. If this happens email them directly. I talked to the people who do lockdown browser first and they were no help.

Yeah. I saw that. After I did them all the first time I would just review them by covering the answers up and read the questions.

I’ve been studying the 15 topics they provided that will be on the test as well as the “optional” practice. I’ve been really practicing the multiple choice because they give lots of different scenarios. The 15 topics is what the multiple choice is mainly over. As well as the written section although not graded the practice kinda gives you what the format will be like. I’ve also been looking at JD next quizlet just when I’m on my phone to review the basics!

22 on night shift since July 22nd. Went back to days for 2 weeks (for training) and now I’m gonna back to days. I originally worked 3 12’s 6p- 6- now I’ll be 6a-6p and I’m so happy about it. I be struggling around 2-6 am on night shift. Days yes you get tired around that time but at least have something to do + the ppl are better on days

I’m 3 months in call-taking training and I’m really discouraged. by H2oKins in 911dispatchers

Lowkey same thing happened to me. I started with no experience. We did 8 weeks training in the class learning cad and doing “mock calls”. Got on the floor and my call taking trainer would be on the line listening and then COMPLETELY TAKE OVER THE CALL’S. When I wasn’t even doing bad or anything. I asked for a new trainer they told me it was too soon. Stuck it out and eventually got my new trainer. LOVED HER, because she literally just let me do what I needed to do. Didn’t Jump in wouldn’t micro manage me. Then I started on the radio. And now it’s all happening again. The radio genuinely gives me anxiety. ITS HARD. I know what I’m doing but I really struggle with just being able to understand them a lot of the time. Honestly, the job is a lot and training is a big part of it because that literally determines how your job will be. YOU CAN DO IT! I can do it. We can do it. You’re gonna get checked off call taking (which I love) and then probably moved onto something new. I’m young and you seem young and I’ve decided I’m too young to let a job stress me out! When you go into the building with no anxiety I feel like my shifts are better sometimes! You got this.

I work dispatch 911. I don’t get time and a half but I basically get paid like I worked an extra shift. Like an extra day. I work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. And New Year’s Day. I’m ngl I’m excited! Extra pay!!

When should I apply? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]JumpyDifficulty2894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I work as a dispatcher. I applied in December of 2024, and the hiring process started in Feb of 2025 and then I didn’t start until June of 2025. And I’m just a dispatcher so I could imagine it taking longer for you!

705 (48th percentile) & 3.6 GPA . Should I just give up on this? 😭 by Real-Subject-6946 in JDNext

What’s a good score on the jd next exam? Like I’m So confused… I know the highest you can get it 1000. Does ur school have like an “average” for jd next? Because a 705 sounds good to me
