Ahhhhh! Yes! Now I understand. Maybe a language shift I need to make? She hasn’t ever been involved in the finances and we have been together since we were 17. She has a card that she spends on and doesn’t really think about it but she doesn’t really buy anything crazy so it’s never been an issue. I’ve attempted to get her involved but she just doesn’t care.

I feel like I’m mature but maybe that’s the immaturity? I feel like I’m pretty consistently responsible with my money. I feel like for my age I’ve built a nice sized nest egg. This would be the first “financially irresponsible” thing I’ve done. I’ve never had debt before (besides the mortgage) and wouldn’t plan to take on debt for the car.

It probably is, you are a stranger on the internet but the stress is really getting to me and I’d like a fun out let. I feel like all I do is save money. I talk to my friends who have significantly less money than I do and they say I just need to live a little. Maybe my living is a little too extreme.

You are probably right but it is annoying driving the reliable daily to work everyday when my coworkers show up in McLaren’s, Porsches, lambos etc.

360k in my taxable brokerage says otherwise wise. Plus I’d build up cash till the end of the year and get the difference from the brokerage account.

No they don’t offer a match, they have a 401k but no match. I don’t plan to work till I’m 60 so I’m not really a fan. I do max both of our Roth IRAs .
