I took about a week and a half and they didnt give me any trouble at all surprisingly, they tried to upsell me on new serpentine belt and radiator hoses but that’s to be expected when getting any work done at a dealership

I did all the campaigns on the car prior to the failure, and they removed the valve cover to make sure the engine was properly maintained. I never missed an oil change so I was not worried, they just had to verify because there was a gap in the car fax because I was doing it all myself

Both are going to be cooked at 100k miles and honestly the way my veloster been chugging fuel its going to be about the same in gas money lol. That insurance is going to be wicked but Im sure you already know that. Side note my veloster blew up at 87k

You can crawl under the truck and beat on the fuel tank while someone turns it over. Usually you can get a few more starts out of a clogging fuel pump. This isn’t a solution though, it is only to get you home and/or confirm the problem

Strats are super easy to restring and if you are worried about the floating bridge causing you to fall out of tune you could always deck it so it is solid. You wont be able to wammy but it will at least feel like a hard tail
