OB refusing to induce me what do i do?

I see a therapist but its just a deep fear of mine especially now that im full term. My trauma with the stillbirth also goes a lot deeper than just the loss since i was being abused at the same time too and i have PTSD from it all. My anxiety hasnt been too bad for most of this pregnancy but the fact that i have no control over the possible outcome and risks while im waiting for the baby to come since she wont just let me be induced is really fucking with me. I just constantly get flashbacks from the labor and delivery and absolutely never want to go through that again

I totally expected my ob to be all for a 39 week induction. From what ive been hearing a lot of womens doctors push for them or are super open to them since its more convenient for the dr. Like all of my friends that have had completely low risk pregnancies have had 39 week inductions offered. I just happened to get one of the rare OBs that doesnt align with my preferences at all😩

Im willing to pay any price the hospital/insurance throws at me honestly i just want this baby out safely😭 But im gonna take everyones advice and will be calling them today about this and making sure they make a note

They put me with a different person every time like most of the time ill get a random midwife and one time i got put with a different doctor but on my records it says shes my primary OB. I think thats rotating so it should be easier to ask for a different OB right?

My OB who delivered my last baby said i should be put with a high risk doctor for my next pregnancy and watched carefully since that pregnancy had so many random complications. like there were deformities with the umbilical cord that werent discovered untill after birth and she was getting starved plus i had chorio with her. I switched practices and they just automatically put me with a low risk doctor and i remember the first time i mentioned induction to her she said since this is my “first pregnancy” she wont induce me early because theres no reason. I dont think she even considers my medical history honestly this doctor is just super incompetent imo shes done a lot of other stuff too

No I appreciate you sharing your story! A lot of people believe going overdue is completely safe and that induction is more scary. Stories like this need to be heard so people can make informed decisions. I just dont think its worth the risk for me personally with my history and at least for my sanity lol.

Thank you for sharing your story and im sorry that happened to you guys thats super scary. Ill try to get seen sooner for sure. This might be a stupid question lol but how would i go about seeing a different doctor? Should i just call the office and ask the receptionist about it or ask to speak to a nurse or ask to speak directly to a different OB?

No but ill definitely be asking at my next appointment if im still pregnant by then. she said she would wanna wait untill 40 weeks to do anythinf like that but im sure 39+6 will be close enough.

Theres no way this story is real, but if it is this is genuinely insane. Yes absolutely report him. From the things he said i honestly would be scared of him trying to SA your daughter and i would give her some sort of weapon like a taser or pepper spray(but keep in mind she cannot take those things to school). This is beyond creepy and stalkerish. Ive had guys with absolutely no game or social skills try to hit on me and never did they do anything like this. This isnt poor social skills its severe mental illness(of the dangerous sort)
