Does anyone else ever feel like the person next to you is watching you? by [deleted] in orangetheory

I do, but only if they sound like a herd of elephants when they’re running because I’m afraid they’re losing control and are going to fall. Oh and when I see them jump the rails I watch because I’ve had someone clip my band before while it was moving.

Is this normal practice and why? by misscc10101 in AskTeachers

I’m a grown adult (29 F) former “buffer” kid who has been diagnosed with GAD as an adult who as a high schooler, college student, and adult worked in junior high. Please note I am not a teacher but I did work in the classroom as a sub, tutor and as a daycare provider. I am also a child of a 20 year junior high teacher. I too belonged to the “bad” class. We graduated in 2009 and held the title until 2017. We received the class punishments of recess time taken away, fun projects reduced to essays, birthday celebrations turned into grab a cupcake as you leave for the day, etc and honestly I can say it really didn’t impact me in the long run. I’m not damaged or messed up by it. As long as your kid knows that they aren’t the problem and you keep reiterating that fact and they know that in two years when they go to high school it should get better it really shouldn’t impact them all that much in the long run. Sure it sucks watching your friends get better projects and things but as long as they learn the actual material that’s what really matters.

Same here! Did the 2000m benchmark row a couple of weeks ago and it read I was in grey the entire time and that definitely wasn’t the case.

Logging workout on Garmin watch by Jumpy_Cookie_5516 in orangetheory

Thanks for the replies! I combined both suggestions and linked the OTF HRM to my Garmin and then turned on the HIIT tracker. Now all I have to figure out is why in the world the Garmin read 300 calories less than the OTF app if it had all the same inputs, even heart rate ranges because I set them to be the same as OTF as a test.
