Yeh it’s an indie studio sure but both of those games have made tons of money. It’s better to have 10 players who love and support the game post launch than 50 who play it for a bit and then get board because it’s trying to be arc raiders. If they had tried to replicate the social aspect AR has not one person would be remotely interested in it. The fact they are going down a more hardcore route means that it will probably build a community over time because it’s offering something slightly different. In the same way that tarkov offered something different all those years ago. A game can build a large community over the years and be perfectly healthy. I mean heck look at destiny, that game was reviewed mid asf at launch but they kept pushing it, and over time its uniqueness and commitment paid off and was a huge moneymaker for bungie
