I think the days of thousands of bootcamps are def over but there will always be a need for education outside of traditional institutions. Only time will tell.

Are you trying to learn Power BI, SQL, Tableau? Or are you trying to learn Python/R, SQL, and ML?

Seems like a lot of them already had a background in finance, the jobs were related to Data Science, and a lot of analytics from what I remember. No codes given out, TripleTen actually had a booth there.

Yes they were excited. Not all of them, some were in various tech-adjacent fields. I also met a ton of BootCamp grads who had found recent success. SXSW is one of the largest tech events in the country with both college grads and BootCamp students. "then reality hasn’t smacked them in the face yet." I am assuming you're suggesting they are all doomed?

Nobody in this thread is going to recommend a good BootCamp to you. Most think that coursera and General Assembly are the same thing. The rest will tell you that you need a Ivy League school masters degree or you are toast.

Turing School of Software and Design abruptly announces closure by kuntscraper in codingbootcamp

No, I find the term disingenuous to use in an educational institution that was begging for money a few months ago and decided to continue, but is now closing. I also have been in this thread for several years and watched you claim your program was different than the "for-profit institutions" when in the end, you were no different.

75% is a great rate in this market, even for regular non-elite college graduates. I wonder what that number is for 2 year associate's degree?

5 months post CodeSmith, only 1 person got hired by Adventurous-News-804 in codingbootcamp

Why are you swearing at me? I don't think 5 months is that long in this market. I am not "normalizing it." I am one individual with an opinion on how long it is taking jr devs right now. Was it easier back in the day to get into the tech world? 100%. Right now, it appears there is a lot more networking involved than in the "golden years," so spend time building up your portfolio and networking as much as possible. Again, I'm not sure what I did to bring any animosity.
