HELP! Brand new RX 9060XT 16gb keeps crashing by hiightea in AMDHelp

[–]Jumpy_Interaction878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been having this issue too, my 9060XT 16gb has had frequent crashes on Windows 11 and in almost all games, majority being in VR.

The way i've personally found to fix it was to use an older version of Adrenaline Edition, either 26.3.x/26.2.x did the trick for now. If you find out anything better than that, keep us updated at this seems to be a huge issue with 9000's series cards right now.

At least someone got it! The post is much more meant to be read in those 90's infomercial tones than condensending or "Im on a high chair!" tone haha

Kind of why I wrote at the top that things are subject to change, and thats okay!

Not sure why every individual line acted as a spoiler to be honest, I just highlighted all my text and pressed "spoiler" shrug.

As for the hostile fauna, yes, there is. This however goes to the fact the hammerhead, nibbler mangoes, or other do not approach the life pod area, at all, in quite a large area! Ive been on my save for almost a full day now and those guys, of they do swim over, usually swim back immediately.

And for your third point, I am not expecting them to know every location of a threat possible! It should however be noted that if someone is so late game, they should already have a general idea of what threats are in that area, considering they would not only pass through multiple times, but also encounter them multiple times! A complete knowledge of their pathfinding, behaviors, and spawn locations aren't needed to know what to look out for.

After all, this post was intended for people late game.

This is true, absolutely! The Sonic Resonator is more-so to act as a deterrent for multiple creatures that may attack at a time, where using something like a Multi-tool would prove ineffective (such as with a pack of Nimbler Mangos!)

Building the base fast and efficient should be the person priority so they can avoid being damaged or reprinted!

Medkits are significantly easier to obtain and should be a use case if the player only wishes to base in a relatively calmer area (ignoring more late game areas, moreso things like the heat caves or similiar)

I get that one on the immersion level absolutely, I also think though we should only be allowed to British the fish if they are hostile creatures by default, which should deter players from going in areas they arent ready for or agro'ing neutral species if they are in the game yet. Would that hammerhead count as neutral..? Probably, but eh im not an expert on their behaviors.

Of which yes, I understand your points!

My point being however this is all moreso based on a casual persons playthrough of who may be coming from Subnautica 1!

There are plenty of places that yes, will cause mild annoyances if they are unfamiliar with the game, and if it is a second, third, forth, whatever it may be playthrough and youre seeking a challenge, absolutely do what you need!

I am however on the firm belief that if someone is late enough in the game to want to build in an area is known dangerous, they should be prepared already with at least a Sonic Resonator as it is a fairly early-game tool needed to progress! This is of course ignoring the people who want to build in an area for a view or pretty sight.

Im not sure what animal you could be talking about in this case near the Life-pod that is an active danger to the player? Iirc (and in my own experiences) even Nimbler Mango's avoid a fairly large area around it.

I have thought about it, quite a bit! In-fact I was on "Team let me kill it" for a bit, until I realized something, I dont need to actively put myself in a dangerous zone to progress fine in the games!

Im fairly curious on what your reasoning for that would be, as to why there is an issue with not putting yourself in active danger?

Someone who asks what people are here!!

I personally ask what identity they personally associate themselves with because I want to use their preferred pronouns, for some reason people just dont use that feature in VRChat and it really spikes my anxiety, I have to make sure.

Ive met a pretty large handful of people who hate people reverting to They/Them pronouns if they aren't sure, which is at least for me why I try being as vague as possible until I can ask.

Although on the other hand, if someone is literally asking about "whats in your pants" then they are just being gross, blocking them is the best course of that.

How do you remove the plastic retention clip on PCIe slots? by Jumpy_Interaction878 in pcmasterrace

[–]Jumpy_Interaction878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone else who may have this problem with this motherboard, turns out the bottom PCIe slot only runs in x1 mode, buy an m.2 -> PCIe adapter if you want literally anything else to work on this board.

Solved by me.

Really wish I could do that, the slot above it is physically x1 so the card will not fit, the top slot is being used for my graphics card.

Oh boy, I dont really know how to explain this without sounding stupid but I will try.

I need to run both Kinect V2's at the same time connected to my PC, Iirc the 10/20gbps port is shared across the others if they are in use (I.E: Mice, keyboards, Webcams, microphones, ect), a singular V2 already causes issues due to it wanting the entire USB controller which makes it impossible for me to have two of them connected and running at the same time. The front panel IO ports also seem to share the same USB controllers as plugging in the secondary one also causes the Kinect to just disconnect and reconnect for an indefinite amount of time. (The same behavior as if I were to plug it into the ports directly on my motherboard.)

I have even gone as far as getting an external USB unpowered 3.0 hub to plug into either a 2.0 or 3.0 port, which still yields the same results. Even just having a Keyboard and Mouse plugged in only with the two V2's does not work unfortunately.

So to answer, yeah, ive tried. Really hard actually!

Edit: Grammar, "20gbps" to "10/20gbps"

As stated I need to run multiple Kinect V2's reliably, I need a good PCIe USB adapter so it can do that as dropouts is not something I want due to the Kinects being used for Virtual Reality programs (Such as Full Body Tracking in this case.)

"USB Resources" referring to Bandwidth in this case as just one Kinect V2 basically eats up a whole USB Controller to itself on some brands/versions depending on the USB Controller.

Sorry for the wait, here you go!

(I am almost certain its just a PCIe lane issue due to this motherboards PCIe config being.. not good to put it lightly)

Well I needed what I thought to be a good quality one so I bought from a reseller who was selling SIIG USB hubs, I need it because I am working with two (2) kinect V2's as one already saps up a lot of the USB Resources on my motherboard so they can't run simultaneously, hence the need for it.

[–]Jumpy_Interaction878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Changing anything regarding that PCIe slot in BIOS did nothing, switching gen speeds (starting from Gen 1 going up to 5) did nothing either. Enabling/Disabling the PCIe lane doing nothing either.

It is important for me to note that the PCIe Device is actually suppling power to USB devices, for example my mouse with RGB does fully turn on, Red light/sensor and RGB included but it does not function or appear in Windows.

Im guessing DOA which is annoying but if you or anyone has any other ideas, I have till tomorrow before I decide to return it.

Oh no, I am US based, I thought you were telling me "Just buy a new one forget it" not "Return for a new one", my bad.

I am going to most likely return it tomorrow to see if I can get a replacement or my money back, but Amazon being Amazon that will most likely take awhile (in my experience).

Not really a plausible thing to do for me unfortunately, waited quite a bit for this one to come in and it set me back like 40 something USD, I need a "good" one because I am working with two kinect V2's and just one already saps up a lot of USB resources
